    Fair point but in 2012/13 Dagenham were in league because we drew with them the first game after the capital one final. One each, Hanson with a late leveller

    As did McLean. He was at Grays Athletic for several years and was banging in goals for fun when they won two FA Trophy finals and were close to promotion to the FL. He went on to have a decent L1 and Championship career. Our problem was getting him when he was well over the hill.

    Not PL, but McLean dropped down from Leyton Orient to Grays Athletic for several years before Posh grabbed him to become their main striker.

    The enigma that was Aaron McLean. Reminded me of Hanson in that he was a perfect fit for one club during his career yet did nothing anywhere else.

    I thought the same too. Thing is I'm a bit old fashioned and I like to full backs to be no nonsense defenders first and foremost. I think Sutton will be good enough, and with Gillead in front of him I think that makes us strong attacking and defending down that side. For all his faults Gilliead does seem to work hard tracking back and defending

    Fair point. That said, I don't think sutton is any worse defensively than Threlkeld and he's a damn sight better going forward.

    I think Sutton played RB a few times for Scunny, he also started as RB for us last season away at Port Vale.

    Has played RB a few times but is wasted a little there, Would much prefer Foulds as a RB even if he is a left back it is easy to swap and he brings better height and can put in a good cross and is a natural defender, Never let us down when played

    Lee Tomlin is only 32 and a free agent. Good experience and a decent scoring record for midfield. Is he injured or finished ?
