Plus far more ‘stuff’, like existing staff, infrastructure etc. City although not a totally blank canvas, is one which a new owner could create a new structure, obviously preserving some of the history, but without a lot of baggage that some clubs would come with. I would add Nottingham Forest and a few others to that list.

What is Bradford City worth as a PL club or even a CL club. 200-300million?
    Exponential growth is possible.

    I agree with you Dave.

I still remember how disappointed fans were with most of Parkinson's signings, too. He signed players for their character and their work ethic as much as their talent, which meant he never went out and made a blockbuster signing at any point if I recall correctly.

But that's okay, as long as those players actually turn out to be decent :joy:

Yes getting higher up does increase catchment areas but also wider catchment areas don't automatically mean more match going fans. Wigan spent years in the PL but their ground was only ever sold out when the big clubs came to town. The Etihad is rarely full. It takes a long time especially in a competitive catchment area to get both enough tourists and enough fans outside that initial catchment area but in one close enough to regularly travel to the games.

As I said there is a fairly untapped catchment area due to the good transport links for Sutton to tap if they can capture peoples imaginations that would be harder for you to tap and probably harder for Stevenage. All while being in a really affluent and fairly young area who are more likely to buy into NFT (and near where a lot of social influencers are based which the Crypto lot will want to use)

Simon Parker seems to think cryptos are like Santa Claus you can either choose to believe in them or not sorry pops it doesn't work that way just because you don't know about them doesn't mean they aren't real lol

Yes they are and have been for 10 years yet they’ve progressed nowhere and their fanbase is pathetic

They were bought in 2014, when they were in the NPL Division One North playing sides like Ossett Town and Kendal Town.

That meant they were 3 divisions below the Conference.

I'd say they've made a ton of progress myself.

I think we're getting ahead of ourselves, what we do know is these guys have shown an interest acknowledged by Stefan, without doubt investment going forward would be a huge help but as we know its no guarentee of sucsess and to become a team that can compete at a decent Championship level could take years, although in our present situation as a self sufficient club will take even longer, great to be talking positively (if it has any credibility) rather than Covid.

People asking why buying Bradford City for 10million would be a good investment….
Finishing 4th bottom in the PL earns over £100m in prize money then guaranteed the season after as finishing bottom gets you £100m, then you have parachute payments of 100m with the potential of going straight back up.

Potentially, I don't really know, but Fleetwood and Crawley both hit their ceiling once they reached League One so it's entirely possible. Seems you can easily buy a non league team and lead them to League One, getting past that point has proven very difficult.

AFC Wimbledon, Accrington, all maxed out in League One where once Wimbledon rose from non-league to the Premier League pretty quickly.

If that's a serious question I can explain that. There is a finite number of any Cryptocurrency and that all exits from the start stored in Encrypted blocks. For that block to become usable it needs to be decrypted. Mining is where you use computer hardware to break the encryption and 'discover' the usable crypto and as a reward for doing so you are given that crypto. These days to mine it on your own you basically need super-powered machines well beyond most peoples budgets (although in the early days you could mine significant amounts on your average laptop) but you can still get involved by joining minding pools where the blocks get broken down into smaller chunks which are more manageable for lower powered computers and everyone who decrypts one of these parts of the block gets a share of the total block. For example, I'm mining Etherum right now using a mining pool and I've contributed 399 in the last 24 hours so I get paid a fraction of a Etherum coin for each of those bits

    Great explanation Simon.

The ethical side is those super powered computers all around the world are using an absolute ton of power - equivalent to some countries... so if we did get taken over, we'd be hearing all about that no doubt.

The FGR crowd would be doing cartwheels in their sleep.

MK Dons moved to a whole new place that was nearly an hour and a half away, I'm talking more a Bolton like move who went from being fairly Central in Bolton to the outskirts of Horwich (which is about 30 mins away)
