Adams is here for the long haul, he ain't getting the sack or leaving of his own accord. Whether he achieves success in this time no one can predict but its clear from results and comments from Adams regarding his squad that we are still some way off being truly competitive in what is a woeful division. And that's quite sad really and a true indictment of what damage Rahic and Rupp did to this club.

Thats fine, but within football there are specific clauses to prevent this.
I am pretty sure though if you are already in a job you need written consent to do so.
Garden leave is a thing and most of the time its to stop you working somewhere quickly so you can pinch all the clients.

 

Theres been enough money chucked on this squad of late to stop using the Rahic and Rupp line.

Adams really does need to wise up on the radio, to come out publicly and say there aren’t enough winners in the team is just as likely to create a divide between him and the squad, I don’t agree with the way he speaks about players and these cryptic comments on the club and deep rooted issues, many of these ‘non winners’ or ‘losers’ who he has been involved in signing, maybe he needs to accept what he has got to work with and get more time in training, coaching and motivating them, rather than slagging them off.

If Derek Adams undertook any act which harmed the progress of his current club, whilst under contract then that could be in breach. Have you any evidence of this?

i am not saying this at all. when have i said that?
other people are saying that on here with no evidence; as they said he scouted city players while at Morecambe. all i am doing is pointing out that is unlikely as like you said its breach of contract. i am trying to gather proof of this but apparently i am being accused of the same.

i am assuming that he is innocent until proven guilty i cannot fathom why others cannot give him that doubt. that's how society works...

So who would have been your choice as the new manager guys, would you have stuck with Trueman & Sellers or gone for any other particular manager ?.

Unfortunatly Flynn was not available until he walked out on Newport on 1 October 2021.

 

Rumour has it the players don’t like Adams.

 

I have heard Trueman is unhappy.

I know its "ITK" but my partners friend knows trueman personally (her sister is truemans partner)

Adams has them all training 6 days a week, which probably shows where all the injuries are coming from.

but if that's what gets us up, that's what gets us up. I think over the years we have got a bunch of travellers who don't care all that much.

 

Nah, that's a very one sided view to suit your agenda.
Both Vaughan and Doyle were consistently asked to play a role in the team - back to goal target man, to hold up the hoofs from the back. They weren't very good at it, for obvious reasons, and it meant that the thing they were both good at - scoring goals in the penalty box - suffered accordingly. Despite this, they were both top scorers during their respective tenures here.
It's clear that both were very pissed off at the way they were being asked to play. It was obvious to everyone (but our managers) that they were very frustrated at being wasted in the target man role. Unsurprisingly, they got out as soon as they could and, equally unsurprisingly, both started scoring regularly as soon as they left us. We have a long record of turning silk purse strikers into sow's ears and these two were among the pick of the bunch. There's no doubt that if we had either in this team now we'd be in the top three easily, with the number of chances we are wasting, that they wouldn't.

 

Not sure what they do 6 days a week.
Certainly not fitness, or developing formations, or skills coaching.

 

Without a happy team you won’t get anywhere in football.

 

Trueman looks lost. Might as well be at home on match day.

 

Trueman and Sellars did a good job at the time. No doubting that but we needed a manager in

Ryan Lowe at Plymouth but again probably ship well sailed now.
Before that Robins at Coventry. Again ship well sailed now.
Liam Rosenior doing well at derby with Rooney. Again may have sailed now.

Again as I’ve said to all I’m not advocating for adams to go but he has a lot of work to do to turn this around
