The clubs been a mess years, way before Adams and Sparks came in tbf. Football clubs need backing in transfer windows, bringing in rejects that no one wants tells you all you need to know about us.

 

If our process was bad then yes, but I’ve seen us dominate many of those games and match the best teams in the division.

many on here laugh when I cite xG but those in the game who use it ‘know’. Just like we knew Brighton would come good this season. Just like we knew Tranmere would fade away - they have this month. City will come good. Keep the faith. Our finishing this year has been diabolical. We would be in auto playoffs if we’d had a finisher like Eoin Doyle in this team.

we are a decent team and we are making progress. We have areas to work on though, admittedly, yes.

 

Amazing how many are referencing our form and win rate in the last 17-20 games or so (which is terrible BTW) but never made a sound about it until it was mentioned in the media before the weekend.

Does the xG show that our finishing is the worst in the division, or is there another team that needs to creates more chances per goal?

I would not be at all surprised if xG exposed us as the least clinical side in L2.

 

I think we will have a chance of getting seventh even without investment. Robinson is contributing now and Lavery looked much better at Swindon -not just a pair of corpses as before. Autos are certainly out without a goalscorer but when rub of the green goes our way those 1-1s will creep into 2-1 and we’ll climb

I think you’re wrong. Go back to the thread when we lost 3/1 to Hartlepool from October 19th. People were talking then about one win in 9 games. Fans maybe fickle but they are not stupid

That is a tad misleading as we won the 3 games on the bounce before that. Really 5 in 20 makes more sense.

Baring in mind our last 7 games we’ve not played a team below tenth? Our last 6 games the lowest team was 4th!! I think people do really need to get a grip and just stop whinging and stick with the goddamn manager. We’ve done this for 5 years and seen absolutely no progress whatsoever.
Did Derek get Plymouth or Morecambe up first time of asking? Does it look like rupp is going to back him in jan? No. So chill out and accept the process.

Hi all, it's me the kinda OK Cambridge Utd supporter. Was really looking forward to playing you in the next round. Anyway, it is what it is. I don't know enough about your season so far but I still rate Adams. He likes to pick fights (players, club set up, board members, opposition managers) but by and large he gets his targets right. I'm no fan of his but I think and hope he'll do well with you. See you next season....(and we're not getting relegated!!)...

 

Im working off the experimental 3-6-1 blog, so the last update was 30th oct, but it is basically suggesting we could have 11 more points than we have….based on our quality of chances created in those games we’ve often ended up drawing.

to me it just shows how tight this division is. Teams are so closely matched and we just need to back Adams and sit tight. We don’t need to rip things up at all.

we know ourselves that we are so wasteful - we’re tearing our hair our every week with fluffed chances. We’re a good team and end of season table will prove it. We’re coming through a tricky month and holding up fine.

I think Adams has had the least amount of stick of any manager on this forum as far back as I can remember. I think most know the problems come from higher and are far deeper rooted. Not many calling for him to go.
But when does it become a terrible run? 10 wins in 40? 7 in 30?
Let’s face it, it’s poor.
