    You are right large Asian families are wanting other large Asian families houses and huge bidding wars are taking place between them. Not sure on the renting out business but it wouldn’t surprise me. I went to a house the other day with 8 bedrooms and nearly 30 people in there non of whom had any grasp of the English language. (West Bowling).

    Which bit is made up? Having had the displeasure of working in apartments in the centre of Bradford I can confirm that a fair number of residents are no better than pigs, piles of rotting waste, nappies etc just dumped in the communal bin areas, even when the bins weren't full. In some cases just throwing the bags out of the apartment windows. Not the full problem though, lack of bins and bin emptying are part of the problem as are the ever growing number of fast food outlets within the city centre.

    People pointing out that the very outskirts of Bradford have some nice places and cities like Leeds also have some extremely dodgy areas miss the point.

    Cities are largely judged on their centres - it makes up a majority of what people see when they visit. The difference between Leeds and Bradford city centres is like night and day, there is nobody around in Bradford after 6 o'clock, no office workers spending money and nothing at all to do. On my way to City the other Tuesday I even tried to find a Starbucks or a Costa to grab a drink on the way from the Interchange and there wasn't a single option, it's dead.

    There are also no inner city areas of Bradford that are attractive in the way that places like Chapel Allerton in Leeds are growing and developing.

    That's right. A few years ago, the Home Secretary (one Theresa May) outsourced the settlement of refugees and asylum seekers to G4S, Serco and Clearsprings. Their brief was to get the highest number of refugees etc resettled at the lowest cost. The vast majority have therefore been resettled in areas with the lowest housing costs which include Stoke, Middlesbrough and Bradford. Serco won't be resettling the asylum seekers in Richmond, Cheadle and Harrogate! The local councils had no involvement in this decision. Instead they now have to bid competitively for extra cash from the Govt to improve the local infrastructure - schools, health centres, social care etc - to support the new comers. It's little wonder that the spiral of decline in these areas continues.

    I don't as most of it is s***e.
    You expect me to take you seriously when you claim to be a successful businessman, who drives a top of the range Merc, lives in a big house out of Bradford with electric gates, your mum and dad are Doctors or was it Consultants, a poster who was happy to take a £10 yes a measly £10 bet but can't provide evidence he paid it, and you claim I don't get things.

    Moved to Bristol for Uni 2 and a bit years ago, no intention of coming back. Bradfords shite unfortunately for all that I love it. The main issue down here is house/rent prices which are fooking mental, but beyond that a much nicer place to live all round. West Country accent is also hilarious

    I'd be very surprised if anyone did come back after leaving, if I could live my life again I'd have left a couple of decades back.
