Wouldn’t be so sure. Ipswich have been trying to get rid of him all summer and haven't managed it so now that its deadline day they may reluctantly accept a lower contribution to his wages.

Don't think anyone would blame him if he binned it off and when home to sleep!!

 

£1mil they paid for him. But in the 3 seasons since he's managed 16 goals in 101 appearances, hardly backing up the price tag. And when the manager has signed 5 blokes ahead of your in your position in this summer alone, it tells clubs you're surplus to requirements. I don't think the fee would need to be too much. He has 10 months left on a £3,000 a week salary (according to East Anglian Daily Times) so he's roughly due 135-140 grand in his contract?

And he's only scored in 2 of his last 32 appearances in L1, might put off teams in their league from going for him, I don't think availability or cost would be our stopping block on Jackson....

Our main block is we've all heard of him. We know the City way, a youth on loan from Huddersfield who's maybe been on the first team bus once or twice is more our way of deadline day moves.

 

someone like John Akinde or Lucas Atkins would be good and both could be tempted from their clubs

No chance of akins coming loves Burton too much plays ever week and am sure he may even be captain

 

Akinde would do well at this level but he played 44 times for Gillingham last season so I doubt that will happen.

I’m probably wrong but I still think we’re waiting on Bogle regarding of what Adams has said, at least it’s nearly over. We need 2 players imo but I’d take 1 now we need a striker desperately.
