You said you wouldn't make judgment until at least 10 games in, now you're saying you'll be judging next week, which is it ?,

I've always said that pre season is about fitness and its an extension of training that's it.

Well I think some are getting over confident and will be massively disappointed if we lose next week. @Keefly Bantam@Keefly Bantam even basing that because Exeter have been letting in goal in pre season Mickey Mouse games that they are poor at the back. Wow! Forget pre season the real stuff starts on Saturday. The judging starts then.

Did you enjoy Coleman’s interview you cherry picked a sentence from. Still too shy to respond Fordy?

Care to quote any others, like

Credit to Bradford, they were better in every department
We were second best especially in the first half
I’m a winner and I wanted to win this one.

Any comment before you change the subject again?

No you said results don't matter, then say (which most will agree with) Adams will learn from the defeat at Chesterfield, the result is irelavent.
Let's just say a reversal of preseason results all defeats except Chesterfield would have had this forum boiling because was well as building players fitness wins also build players confidence.

The results don't matter! Sorry what do they count for?

Confidence? You do understand that the tackles are not flying in and pre season and its a friendly! You know that don't you?

The reason the Chesterfield game we would have learnt more from is because we clearly wouldn't have put much to practise from training. Adams won't be losing sleep over the result as it counts for NOTHING!

Thing is Fordy, had we won one game and lost 6 instead of the other way round, you would be on here telling us that results very much do matter.

Once again contradicting yourself, if as you acknowledge Adams will learn from a defeat, he will also learn how his players react to a win.
No one is denying fitness isn't a big part of preseason but its not the be all and end all, especially for a new manager who inherits players he knows little about, friendlies will give him an insight into those players.

Two Accrington players booked yesterday so tackles seem to have been “flying in”

I think I read on here from someone watching the game from behind the dug outs, the Guiseley manager said to one of his CD about Cook " the next time you challenge him make sure his teeth are left on the grass" or words to that effect, and Adams pulled him up about it.

An extension to training you say. The same training where formations are learned and players get used to how they interact with each other on the pitch. How strikers look to become better, how midfielders look to influence a game and how defenders look to keep a solid back line. Everything matters about pre season everything. Fitness, formations, tactics all matter. Its good to have different opposition players to try things out against in pre season games-shows the manager which players play best in certain formations. All good intel.

This pre season has shown how far the footballing side has developed over the summer. Yes we can always be better but from what I have seen and heard DA has this lot working together as a team with a clear purpose when on the pitch and pre season has been a HUGE success.

I doubt we will get turned over that many times next season and with a decent supply to our strikers ( I think we need another as back up) and a good return from attacking midfielders I can see us having a really positive season.

Whilst the Exeter result could be used as a yardstick I won't be too emotional if we lose that game-which I doubt we will.

He has exposed himself again. Goes against the grain by saying ridicilous stuff to gain a reaction. Feeds off negativity.

He isnt even worth debating with.

He did alright. Typically full of energy and constantly breaking things up while having enough pace to support the forwards on counter attacks.

Gave it away a couple of times and ran into their full back when he'd done all the hard work but all in all he was very solid and part of a midfield that completely dominated that first half against a team in the division above.

“Tackles aren’t flying in pre season” ….wow!

Why did two Stanley get booked in a so called “ fitness friendly “ yesterday….oh that’s right LUNGING CRUDE tackles. You must keep up with play if trying to be smart.

You make this so damn easy at the moment.

They were both booked for cynical fouls rather than aggressive or late tackles.

Er we played Accrington yesterday. Don’t give him ammo to change the subject.
