I am not whining, I am truly shocked, but your ok with the decision fine, why head peck others who have a different view?

 

I suppose it's about value with a player like Doyle.

He's a League One player, like Dieng or Wright, or several other players we have - but if he's on the higher end of the scale and didn't sign yet, I can see why they've let him go.

He's not irreplaceable, but he had a great attitude and could do a job. Again, the concern now is getting a better value replacement. I guess they feel like they have, my guess is we'll sign a 24-26 year old first teamer, plus some European back up who'll be awful.

Hopefully by the end of the season, Sykes-Kenworthy can be our number two.

 

Judging by the reaction it seems the feeling is that this a poor move by the club. Dont think he will have any trouble getting a club.

 

It's funny how before Christmas everyone said he wasn't very good and needed dropping etc etc but now it's the end of the world that he's not staying.

Maybe he wanted to negotiate a better deal, like he is entitled to do. But thanks to edin's ridiculous take It or leave it policy we've lost a top professional.

I don't disagree that he won't be able to find a new club easily, he's a steady goalkeeper and will probably now have many clubs after his signature.

But let's not pretend he's not replaceable, he was part of the back line that leaked goals for fun at times.

Every player is replaceable, hopefully Poleon, NKP, Vince, Reeves and Shay can find new homes.

 

Problem with giving out stupid contracts.

Why is a League One side offering players three year deals?

You only need three year deals if the player is worth seven figures.

We're acting pretty dumb with our contracts.

 

Especially with the 2nd and 3rd choice keepers,hopefully we have someone lined up who didn't have a say in bringing those two to the club.

 

You're right, he is replaceable. But considering the other goalkeepers our committee have signed, I don't have much hope.
