Looks like the Whitfield rumour was just that

 

If we look at last season if he plays wide right, he's definitely an upgrade on billy Clarke, wonder what will happen with gareth Evans now, is he gonna play as a number 10 cos he certainly can't run on the wing?

 

So how many signings does that see us looking at this week, 2 perhaps , gives us the 8 Sir Adams mentioned?

Hard task to move a young lad so far when he's settled. Is being closer to home the only thing that is making folk think he'll sign.

His stats arent that fantastic either - some folk would go apoplectic about signing a non-scoring forward!

 

Right back maybe? Dunno before everyone shoots me, just guessing! But perhaps Adams will see him more useful at the back where he did reasonably well at Portsmouth?

 

I think Songo’o will sign and then probably a couple of loans

 

He’s a winger 11 goals in 55 games is decent

 

We need another striker, and I think it will be a permanent signing we would be looking to bring in

If we signed songo'o and another striker (mcaleny maybe) I think most people would agree the squad is so much better than last season

 

When we sign Songo'o and if we sign Mcaleny, then I'd say we have no excuses for not finishing top 3 come the end if the season.

 

I can't see us signing McAleny now. I think if we sign a front man it'll be another target man type to help out or rest Cook.

 

Well so far, every single new player has come from League Two and look like out-and-out League Two players.

I think we'll have an absolutely down-the-middle League Two team next year, and would assume we'll be mid-table UNLESS Derek Adams continues to be able to get great seasons out of average players.

Pretty much everything hinges on our tactics and formation, which isn't the criticism some knee jerk posters will assume.

Trying to think who is a possibility to get if we do go for a cook type player, any thoughts? I've just got in back of my mind that Gareth Evans might leave in this window and maybe another player to replace him?

 

There is plenty of wheeling and dealing going on in the background . Too many fret on here. Not many guessed Gilly for starters , if anyone?

 

Not really. I just think it'll be sometime who can replace Cook when needed.

I hope you're right about Evans though, he'll be in a decent wage and with the new signings I can't even see him making the bench.

 

Wouldn't be surprised if we signed someone left field like another ex scunthorpe player, Kevin van veen is out of contract?
