    The problem there is everyone that attended had tested negative so does that mean everyone will have to test to attend?

    This sounds too positive.

    Time for another scary variant to pop up, Should we have a sweepstake on where next?

    If that's the case it certainly indicates that those who aren't already infected with Coronavirus don't infect others! :thumbup:

    They have full lockdowns for 1 case in some parts of the world, incase you weren’t aware (Australia, China to name a couple).

    15 cases is alarming and wouldn’t be far fetched if that was enough to warrant a full shutdown.

    that’s good news, people that test negative are less likely to pass it on

    Is the bed safe enough? Surely you should build your own Covid bunker in your house.

    Maybe an inner city area, with a high ethnic population where the vaccine take up isn’t as high as they’d like…

    You are quoting China, I'm sure they have been 101% transparent through out and their death and case figures are fully accurate.

    …and make sure that your sat inside in a full biohazard suit, with a stash of strepsils and lemsips just in case.

    The 15 cases in 58,000 is probably within the realm of the percentage accuracy of both PCR and LFT tests.

    I did receive notification last week though that they are still exploring the need for lateral flow testing when attending mass events. Even post 21st June. And the government message currently seems to be pushing the ease and simplicity of having regular testing (twice a week).

    They are so simple to get hold off and a relatively easy process now that I think this is the best way forward for the foreseeable. The testing clearly worked at these events in keeping the cases to a minimum, and the ones that slipped through were probably because of the slight inaccuracy of the methods of testing.

    Our take up is in line with other big cities, Manchester for example i just saw is at 63% and 35% first and second doses. Ours is around this too.

    Wasn’t particularly talking about Bradford. They’ll use this variant bull sht as a scare tactic to increase uptake in areas lagging behind.

    I don’t think it will particular change the take up. If people were not wanting it when thousands were dying I can not see them suddenly changing their mind now

    Except, maybe, that it's now six months since the first vaccines were administered. To the best of my knowledge, no one vaccinated has grown an extra head, had their DNA permanently altered or started receiving command hallucinations from Bill Gates. Hopefully that might persuade some of the vaccine hesitant that they are a lot safer than catching Covid 19.

    The average rates in Bradford is 51 per 100k, and looking at a map of the district most of it is either showing as White or Light Green. Only 4 areas in Blue actually have double digit case figures.
    White = under 3 cases
    Light green = 10 to 49 per 100k
    Dark green = 50 to 99 per 100k
    Blue = 100 to 199 per 100k

    Compare Bradford to Bolton and the difference is quite stark.

    There seem to have missed the point.
    There was never any issue with the advice anyhow. It was clear it was guidance and not law. The issue was it wasn't communicated very well, it was posted to a website 5 days ago and only noticed yesterday.

    Those stirring it up about being a lockdown and saying it is confusing are causing trouble, it was never about that.

    If it was a lockdown being imposed the communication would have been very clear and all the media would have run with it.

    The detail of it was never important, they just wanted some change to be made so they could run the "government backtracks" and "lockdown farce" headlines when neither of those things represent reality.

    It's a game where the initially overblown story creates headlines and Internet clicks for weeks.
