I’ve just had a look as Adams seems to get a bit of a tag on here, which I think is mainly down to that shithouse 1-0 win Plymouth got against us a few years ago

First season at Plymouth 6th highest scorers = 72
Second season 4th highest scorers = 71
First season in league 1 58 goals but newly promoted and finished 7th. To put that into context Ryan Lowe who is waxed lyrical about on here just finished 18th with only 53 goals. Last season Ryan Lowes team were 3rd highest scores but obviously the season finished early, same as Morecambe in the goal stakes this term.

Can’t be bothered to look at the rest of Adams’ career but to me it suggests actual his teams do score goals.

He got Plymouth promoted automatically missing out on the title by goal difference I think.
He plays a 4/2/3/1 style with pacy/tricky wide men usually. A bit like Parky in that way when we had Reid down one wing and Clarke behind a front man.
His teams do concede goals so it’s not a boring style really. His Plymouth side in league one conceded 90+ goals and his Morecambe side have conceded goals which is a worry but his side do score goals too. Look at Morecambe this season it seems to be successful in this league and hopefully he has learnt from his mistakes in league one before

the things that’s a positive for me is he took a relatively big club in Plymouth out of this league despite years of poor sides and they were rudderless before he took over. Morecambe were survival first and anything else is a bonus, he kept them up and they are in the play offs next week, something we haven’t even got close to in two years down here now. It’s that what we need. An expert at this level I’d say. He’s got flaws but who hasn’t if they are managing down here?
His football maybe slightly pragmatic but so was Parky and we had by far our best years under him.

 

Jackett would have been a great shout. I noticed he is hot odds on favourite for the Leyton Orient job though, maybe prefers working in the South?

Don’t know if anyone has said this, but is it possible that Bradford and Morecambe already have signed an agreement? Just a thought.

 

I think it speaks volumes that there is no comment at all from Morecambe. If we had just made an approach then I would have expected a hands off warning from Morecambe and a storm in the local press. I think we’ve done the deal for after the playoffs are over.

I think if we approached him in November that’s where an accord may have been reached whereas we wouldn’t pursue him then in return they wouldn’t stand in his way in the summer. However there is many a slip between cup and lip

 

They won’t need to say anything if there’s nothing in it, and I think they will want to keep all distractions to a minimum at the moment.
