There was an interesting article on all they are doing at the club in The Guardian last week:

    https://www.theguardian.com/football/2021/mar/28/soy-of-the-rovers-the-vegan-football-club-kickstarting-a-green-revolution

Anyway, they can be as ethical as they like off the pitch but they're a bunch of cheating sh*thouses on it... hope we manage to keep our cool in the face of their gamesmanship and give them the beating they deserve. An early goal would help nullify a lot of it

I'm sure you're right that they will target Donaldson. But he's a big strong boy who will be well used to that over his long career, and he's very good indeed at winning free kicks in dangerous areas, which could work in our favour.

Team selection is going to be interesting this afternoon with Vernham, Crankshaw and Clarke all back in contention and Watt having had his little rest. My first thoughts were that Watt will probably come back in and AOC move back to RB and FCD down to the bench, but having seen FCD did the pre match presser, I'm now thinking he's probably keeping his place. So that would mean either sticking with AOC and Sutton in midfield, or bringing back Watt and resting AOC, or resting Sutton and having a midfield 2 of Watt and AOC. Donaldson and Scales have to start for me, but not sure whether they'll stick with Evans and Cook or start with Rowe and one of the returning three.

Reckon they're likely to start with the winning team that started last time. Can't see a reason to drop anyone, tbh.

its match day and despite our little wobble, where we did not play well and lots of things went against us. I have actually got a buzz for the match. You would have thought that after 45 years watching City , you would grow out of it. Once your hooked its your team , your drug, come on City give us all something to be proud of this easter break.
Happy easter to all my fellow bantams, lets hope we can all be back in the ground , cheering the team to sucess next season.

I'm still trying to figure out if the buzz I've got is for the game or is more to do with the fact I have a 4 day weekend. I think I will have worked out which it is by 5pm

I’ve had both of my vaccinations, I’d dearly love to be able to sit in my seat today but sadly I realise it’ll be next season. I wonder how many fans have been vaccinated? I’m sure many have had one jab.

Just hope we can keep the progression in terms of team performance and balance that we saw last weekend going, after what has been a difficult mini run.

It is still highly unlikely that we'll catch that last play off berth, but I like others am holding out faint hopes. I think what we need is a convincing win which has been hard to come by even during the T&S era. Fingers crossed, but you have to be a realist to have endured a life of City!

This made me all nostalgic. Whilst it is a very misty memory my first City game was when my uncle took me to stand on the Kop what I am pretty sure is exactly 45 years ago. That and a night match stood with my dad in the (now TL Dallas) stand are my earliest memories. Can't remember the football, or even watching the football, more the occasion and being surrounded by adults.

A little off topic - I think that's why we get the buzz and endure for the most part. Part of our nurture.

1976 the year i really started to go on a regular basis, Ian cooper had been my neighbour for a couple of years before that, he was always good for a kick about on the street. when we drew Southampton in the cup , dad refused to get me a ticket, he went with all his mates on a jolly piss up. I decided there and then , i would not rely on him again to pay for my ability to attend so got a job to earn my own brass . 50p in and 10p for a programme, if i remember correctly.

I know. I really hate losing to them teams that fall over and do all the stupid tricks. I'd rather get played off the pitch and lose 4 nowt. At least I could appreciate they were the better team.

They're no worse than the Swindon team of 7 years ago.

Too many poor refs these days.Seem insistent on jumping on any player who nicks 6 inches on a free kick or wants to take it quick but fail to act on the most blatant time wasting. I know a bit of gamesmanship is part and parcel of the modern game but teams like FGR really take it to the next level.

I still have 'nam style PTSD flashbacks of Joey Barton's Fleetwood timewasting from the first minute of the game!

I'm very pragmatic when it comes to 3 points being more important than performance and the darker arts of football but at least try to play the same sport

Ha ha. Yeah, it was horrible. Tippy tappy five a aside with their own keeper. He almost got them into trouble faffing about didn’t he.

we definitely owe this mob one after what happened in the reverse fixture.

no idea what team or system we’ll play but, please lads, beat this lot by whatever means possible!
