That quote implies you believed it to be true. It took someone else to point out it was a hoax before you backtracked and even then, needed to see the Hanson/McBurnie ‘rumour’ before discrediting the source...!

I’m not looking at anything in any kind of way. The word “discount” used in that context, suggests you believed it.

I’ll spell it out for you,
“Look at his twitter feed before you regard as being unworthy of consideration because it lacks credibility”.

If you were dismissing it, you’d have surely used a different word than ‘dismiss’? Surely it would have been better to use “believe”, “accept” etc?

 

For all the ITKs on here not one has mentioned a name of any of the players signed so far. I'd expect an ITK to have this info to hand, not just 'I've heard we are making a signing this week'.

I commented on his stats not looking great for last season. I've since found out he had an injury last season which hampered him in the second half of the season but I'm not sure if that had a significant effect or not.

Well I saw something about him on sky sports a while back and although by no means the finished article, he looks to have bags of potential, pace and an eye for getting into the right areas. He started to look the part when he broke into Grimsbys first team, think they’re keen to keep him but he’s handed in a transfer request. Seems like he fits the model of young with potential that the owners believe we can coach to bring in huge dollars. Watch this space

If they believe in their strategy then we should be looking at permanent signings. If it means looking at deals for Dembele and the like then thats what they should do. Can't afford to be developing players for other clubs.
