I think it was the experience in our midfield that played a part in your guys being on the back foot.
We had a spell early second half when 3 or 4 times we got round the back but no finish.
I have not come here for a row , but someone posted man for man your players are better than ours, which is just not true. Your lads kept going and clearly have a good spirit and as good as the vast majority of teams in the hunt for promotion. I would hate to play you in the play offs

 

Independently speaking what did Doyle actually do? One lucky ricochet and it’s a goal?

Come on Fordy, one was suffering a midlife crisis three years ago.......It’s a bloody long midlife!

4-2-3-1 works just fine for us, unfortunately the 2 wide players struggled today which left the two Cook/es with few options. We got out of jail today but you make your own luck in this game. The momentum is still fully with us, the celebrations showed just how much that point meant to them.

 

You see I would most definitely define myself as a moaner. You'll have seen my content throughout the season and up to McCall leaving, some of it was blue to say the least.

But....

We are in a period of recovery. Not regression!! And this period of recovery from a good division 4 team along with a novice management set up is doing well. It has limitations, it has faults but it has positives and credits to its name. I try to watch matches now and read information with a sense of balance. We won't get all things right, we will lose matches but on the flip side, we will get things right and win games.

I think sometimes it is easy to blind sided everything Bradford City. It does not work like that, the opposition will see to that.

Bolton were good today but I'm not envious of their set up. They were better from an offensive point of view than us. Vice versa we were better as a defensive unit IMO.

There's a difference between a moan and an observation. FWIW i though Bolton deserved the three points on the balance of play, it might seem strange to some but sometimes oppostion teams do play better than us.

 

yes - we had half a dozen chances to hit them on the break, but the final ball was poor every time - indecisive when we should have been assured

 

Very frustrating seeing players in space only to see the pass go straight to a white shirt. It happens, hopefully next game those passes will go where intended.

 

Take a step back. How many shots on goal did they have? Come back when you watch the replay. All the approach work is well and good but useless if you ain’t hitting the onion bag.

 

As this season stands, I would be wary of playing you in the play offs. Their is undoubtedly quality and experience in your ranks.
But from a Bradford City point of view IMO, getting to the play offs would be a great achievement this season. This team is young and lacking experience in many areas and will get found out, at times but development and growth could be very exciting.

I fear your ageing squad may need a rebuild at the end of this season and beyond?

 

Rogered I am please not because we looked world beaters but just that although we are not the finished article the last few years have been bab..... and the last two months I have had my mojo back for my club so I really celebrated when that goal went in. I know our shortfalls but goodness we are a bunch of warriors love it... Bolton look ok but they are not a Luton or Barnsley of Bristol when all of those teams gave us a football lesson...

 

I didn't and I am disappointed if he did say that.

They is no reason why we shouldn't have been thinking we can beat Bolton and should not be happy with a point at home.

The club needs to start getting this winning mindset.
