My top three at the start of the season were: Bolton, Tranmere and City...don't rule it out!

 

Tranmere and Bolton along with ourselves , are the form teams.
I think Tranmere will get the autos. Bolton could drop quite a few places once there is parity of matches played.
Forest green to win the league with cheltnam the other auto.
Cambridge playoffs, anyone from us upwards in the table, could make up the rest of the top seven positions.
Its a lot better than trying to work out who we mjght have to beat to stay in the league.

 

Good win and performance. Midfield controlled it again and two good but different goals. Cook with great composure for his. Ball retention and decision making was poor in the final 10 and a better side may have punished us but thats the only complaint.

Walsall look pony, tried to play but had nothing upfront. Truly shocking marking for Cook's goal too.

 

If I'd had to choose I'd be going Canavan just now.

Two aspects that Paudie could learn from Canavan;

1. He's too physical in the sense of always grabbing, pulling, fighting. There's none of that from Canavan but he's just as effective.

2. There's a point at which Paudie gets bored and just hoofs the ball aimlessly upfield whereas Canavan looks assured and calm with the ball at his feet.

Quality signing imo.

It’s not easy to come on and shine in situations like today it’s takes time to pick up the speed of the match. We were under pressure and we had lost the earlier composure. I know we brought Stevens on but I would have left either Crankshaw or Vernham rather than clarke

He's playing well but that should mean a chance for someone else to stake a claim for the shirt, I'm hoping it's not serious.

 

He brings far more than Clarke, as you saw today if you watched the game. At least he controls the ball and brings others in, it just bounced off Clarke every time he went near it.

 

He hardly got chance to get in the game before Walsall scored then it became a different game, from us being on the front foot to them looking for an equaliser.

 

How has that translated into goals and assists this year though?

Clarke has had a solid season, not as good as the new signings, but is a useful player and participates in both attack and defence.

Not that it matters, totally different players in totally different roles.

Clarke isn't yet washed up though.

 

Both Clarke and Rowe were poor when they came on yet only one seems to be getting grief. Favouritsm often clouds judgement.

 

I put Radio Leeds on after the game but it was the pre-amble to the Leeds game, so I'll have to find the post match interview, all our troubles sorted if it was taken off for a breather.

Liverpool bossing it off the pitch. Bradford City are failures off the pitch and Ryan/Rupp need to tackle that problem.

On the pitch yeah Liverpool not doing great and Bradford on the up.
