If its a loan from the dogs I hope its Sorba Thomas who they signed this month from Borehamwood. Left forward and one of the best talents in non league this season. They were supposed to loan him straight back out but I don't think he's gone anywhere yet.

 

I don't get this obsession with a left sided midfield player. Evans, Pritchard, Clarke all very experienced players, can all play there. It's a right sided one we need where all we have is a rookie on loan.

Watching some of his goals for Grimsby, he looks like the perfect sort of player for us. Can play Central, either wings, good finishing, fast, seems to have good intelligence and anticipation with some of the passing play.

That would be a strange one because City currently have Cook,Donaldson and Burrell on the bench and Novak injured.
The 24 year old would struggle to get playing time.

Grimsby town local press just confirmed our interest. Apparently can play from the left

 

Donaldson isn’t needed, we have Cook and Rowe. Burrell didn’t even make the bench Saturday so make of that what you will. We need quality and depth for this hectic run of games, so I think it’d be a very astute signing and give us an extra option from the left.

 

In the case of French I don’t think he wanted just to see out his contract, he wants to play and I certainly don’t think the club will have had to pay anything like the full amount of their contract off ,otherwise if we made no savings we might as well have kept him. I imagine we may have had to pay something to get rid of Richard’s Everton but still made a saving ,the rest probably just a months severance as they’ve all got a new club to go to.

 

He's not a striker though is he? I know his Wikipedia says he is but check his positioning data on Transfermarkt or Sofascore.

 

And it’s never really worked. Until we get two decent wingers on each side, I see no point in playing down the wings. We’ve got much better options in the centre of the park. I’d prefer us to bring in a midfielder in case we get injuries or suspensions to Cooke/Sutton/Watt.

 

Why he played left of a front 3 for Grimsby and was quality if we sign him it’s a unbelievable signing

 

Bolton in for Vernam too. Let’s hope it’s us. He looks a good player for this level

 

Would be a good signing. Direct player, with lots of pace which is something we simply don't have in the squad. Tore Henley apart at VP last year too.
