Diamond has been getting in the first team squad and making the odd appearance this year for Sunderland so suspect he might be a no go for now - unless they themselves make wholesale changes under the new regime

 

I can't remember if it was on here but somewhere I saw the rumour we'd actually made an agreement in theory with Sunderland to bring him in but both teams have changed manager since then so it was now up in the air. Obviously, bearing in mind I can't even remember where I read that I'd recommend a healthy pinch of salt with that one

I mentioned it on another post a few days ago. Back in early to mid-November City made an enquiry, that’s all it was. Harrogate were also putting their name in the hat.

Who knows it may still be an option. Sunderland are likely to be very active in the transfer window so I imagine as they bring players in they may allow a couple of the younger ones out.

Im not totally against Gilliead signing IF the rumour has any truth.


1- I thought he held his own in L1. Wasnt flash, wasnt awful.
2 - Improves on any of the wide men we currently have.
3 - 6 goals for a struggling L2 side last term. Added the odd goal to his game in last 3 years.

Ideal signing? No. Do I want better? Yes. Not totally against it though. I will give Turnbull the benefit of the doubt on that one. He was only a kid when last here - now he is a man.

 

Football is a simple game over complicated by people who should know better.

 

I'd hope to see a signing in the mould of Kyle Reid and Mark Marshall. Pace and power that gives us width.

I can't recommend anyone but that's the type of player I hope we're looking for.

 

Just looked on wikis page for mark Marshall to see where he is now, it sais hes 6ft 1 on there, im sure he was a short arse

He's 6'4 on his Northampton stats page. A few stats sites have him at 170CM so about 5'6-5'7 off top of my head, about right.
