I've not said the first half was anything like acceptable, but second half we were far the better side they had 3 shots on target compared with our 2, of course you have to put any chances you have away but anyone who watched the game and said second half we didnt dominate needs to take a trip to SpecSavers or their on a wind up, not that you'd ever contemplate doing that would you.

 

I would question how much input each one of those has in the day to day management of the clubs. Each will be run by an executive team appointed by the owner or their representative. Much as Rupp does with Julian.

 

neither were offered an extra 12 months.. the 12 month extensions were written into their contracts in favour of the player having the option to extend and not the club. another mistake; which player out for the most of the season wouldn't extend their contract if it was their choice. ridiculous decisions.

They should have stuck to their guns with Vaughan and kept him to his contract. He may have sulked but wouldn’t have wasted the last years of his career. The partnership of Donaldson and Vaughan worked.

 

You can say it twice Park, either way its a bit late in the day to be coming up with this!

 

I did not say we were not the dominate side in the second half but Bolton still had 2 or 3 clear cut chances that they put wide in that self same second half. One in particular from inside the box which he managed to put wide.

Yes we dominated but it was all a bit frenetic and a lot of poke and hope balls into the box.

We had BRE and AOC playing wing backs, AOC even seemed to be playing completely up front at one point and our fullback loanee from L666ds is the creative lynchpin....WTF.

It looked like McClown didn't actually have any idea how to change the game so he just allowed the players to do what they wanted and everyone thought "Let's go up front".

I have seen more organisation in a pick up game down the park.

The team is lacking direction and leadership, yes on the field, who for crissakes decided to make the goalkeeper the captain, but crucially off the field from the management team of McClown and Cack.

 

Couldn't watch the game last night as I was one of the many suffering iFollow issues so I cannot comment on the performance. But I wrote the above in defence of Stuart post-Harrogate. I'm at a loss at Stuart's comments following last night's game and its landed me in a state of disillusionment more than the result. I saw the quote regarding "never going to be a top 3 side" this season doing the rounds on Twitter so wondered if it was a slip of the tongue and went to listen myself. Was pretty staggered to hear that it was a clearcut answer to a simple question.

I'm fed up being the side that changes manager every six months but also fed up that our current manager doesn't seem to believe we can achieve promotion and if we do, it will be via the lottery of the play offs. It was clear that this season wouldn't be a walk in the park but a lot of the hope I had was based around the belief that Stuart would be the one driving everything forward, but it seems that the target is simply 7th. A quick look at the sides currently occupying the top 7 makes you wonder what is the difference between those sides that have started the season well and us.

The above coupled with the fact that there are frequent problems when you do make the effort to watch the game via a simple streaming service has left me wondering why to bother. That said, next three games provide an opportunity to turn things around and put together a bit of form. But on the flip side, we could reach new lows if we cannot pick up positive results up against Barrow, winless Southend and Tonbridge Angels.

 

Bolton had 3 shots on target one being a farcical goal, the others must have been in the first half which thanks to Ifollow I didnt see.
As I can't remember a single chance they made for O'Donnell to save in the second half, take the possesion stats away and the others stats were very close, we agree with regards the appointment of Captain.
No one is disagreeing we are lacking leaders on the pitch you get that during bad spells, but conceding a goal like that so early in the game was only going to give Bolton a lift, that's when you expect your seasoned pro's to stand up and be counted, there was little in the game Clarkes penalty goes in only the one side going to win the game unfortunatly he fluffed the chance.

 

It's a pretty grim state when the majority of fans pointed out our obvious weaknesses and raised concerns before a ball was kicked while the manager was happy with the squad!! And the fans end up being correct, you would hope your professional manager would be the most knowledgeable.. Dear o dear what a mess we're in.

 

On a positive note I dread to think where we would ld be if he had a squad he wasn't happy with...

 

If Boris doesn't suspend the season for a month this evening, that poll will reverse dramatically by next Saturday evening after a mid week defeat to Sarfend and a cup exit to the Angels

Our manager out at six tonight please, can't watch anymore, our hero manager has not even got the sense to tell the players to keep it on the deck in the wind. An utter disgrace all round.

 

He has to go unfortunately after this, the good thing is though he is the type of guy to walk before pushed.

 

Hasn’t got a clue. He signed/resigned a hell of a lot of these players, the “tactics” he employs are beyond baffling, even more so than his ridiculous recruitment. Sunday league manager living on his playing status.

 

I think he should walk before he is pushed, you can have all the passion and love for the club but that doesn’t get you the results that are needs unfortunately
