Expectations

Season starts in 2 weeks.

 

well we've promoted 4 to the full squad for a start...apart from City and Bolton who else in this division has a ground that holds more than 10'000?, the majority will have a covid reduced capacity of little more than 2'000 and an income to match. I'll imagine most of the concieved 'smaller' clubs will have squads made up of their own and loanee youngsters.

 

We have time to improve the squad but it's needed and I don't think it will happen. We have little quality in midfield or up front and I think this could be the season we flirt with the bottom of the table again. Hope not but I just cannot see how it might be different.

 

I think that currently we will finish 12th.

Heard nothing from Rupp & Rhodes so the future doesn't look bright.

Our forwards are poor.
Our team lacks pace.
Our midfield lacks experience.
Our team lacks leaders
Our squad lacks quality.
Our squad lacks depth.
Our defense is a shambles.

 

There will still be a hell of a lot of available out of contract players once it does though.

 

Rhodes is a puppet, he needs to do one I don’t see what he does to drive the club forward. Fresh ideas are needed not the 90s retro buffoon we have in charge.

I have absolutely no idea where we would finish with the team we have right now.

However if I was Diane Abbott I would guess 78th.

 

Because its the Micky Mouse league and some other teams believe it or not are worse.

 

If we sign a decent goal scorer and right back we can have a good season.

 

I expect it to be sh*t.

Gosh there are other clubs who have owners WORSE than Rupp and Rhodes. You must be fuming?

 

No, worse than our squad.

Rupp and Rhodes are just ruining our club but my exceptions of them are at an all time low. I don't even know what they do now.

 

What happens if they get injured?

Our squad just doesn't have enough quality.

No one sticking their neck out for top 3 ? Even Park is sitting on the fence, ‘good season’ With 2 players we are unlikely to get.

to be honest L1 and L2 is messed up big time due to Covid and being effectively shafted by sky, I’m willing to write this one off, which I think is what Julian has done.

 

Below average. I’ll go 15th. Need 4/5 quality additions to even make the play offs in my opinion. Hope I’m wrong, but I probably aren’t. Didn’t feel this flat even circa 2010.

 

Other teams haven't written it off at all.

When the season ended most agreed that it's a buyers market with 1400 players or so on a free. Problem for us is we count on McCall's black book and his Youtube to find players.

We let our top goalscorer go and so far replaced him with Billy Clarke! We still don't really have a RB even though I feel Sutton will play there.

The squad might shock us but at this minute top 3 looks far away but no way should we let the club off.
