Personally, I cannot wait for his contract to expire. Not a fan at all

That ball winning midfielder definitely looking like a priority, and a new defence. All that said, we created a hell of a lot of chances (or so it seemed). Interesting times.

Looked like we'd never been away when it comes to defending and having a non tackling midfield. Worryingly looks similar to last season, albeit against higher division opposition.

My focus would be on BRE. He is a definite liability and IMHO not up to the required standard. Too many rash challenges.

Let’s face it, none of them are particularly good. Our weakness at CB will be our biggest downfall next season

As others have said poor defending. One positive however is it looked like we were trying to play on the highlights, not Bowyer ball. We might be entertaining if not successful.

My main hope with the defence is it ends up being similar to the season of Vincelot and Knight-Percival, ideally we see so much of the ball that it leaves them with little to do other than 'clearing up' for the most part.

Because of all the ball winning and creative midfielders we have, passing to our wingers who make it stick to their feet like glue while running at full backs tearing them a new one?
I'll have some of what you're having please!

Its not a bad strategy if you have a weak defense. perfectly legitmate tactic to move the ball as quickly as possible out of the danger areas and do the nice tippy tappy stuff in and around the oppositions box.

I agree, but I think you've missed the part where we have to have players that can do that.

What's Nicky Law doing these days? good season last year, and definitely a Stuart type player. Surprised he hasn't been rumored. Not sure what his contract situation is, but of all the ex players mentioned he is one i would have back. Got a lot of stick when he was last here but i liked him.

Got 1 more year on his contract at Exeter otherwise I guarantee he would have been signed by Stuart.

Agree about being a liability. If possible I would try and get rid of both him and AOC. Very weak area for us. I would give Paudie a chance this season with a prolonged spell in the team, definitely think there is potential with him.

Fair play to him. If he stays, McCall has revealed he has now turned down offers from 2 clubs, I truly hope he proves me and many other fans wrong. McCall must have seen something in him we didn't in his 2 appearances for us.

I think we all do as it would only benefit Bradford city. However let’s hope he’s not a Monday to Friday player who does it in training and friendlies but can’t replicate it in the league.
Bit like Jordan Gibson who did well every pre season and then was crap when the season started.
    But hopefully you’re right

We've all been guilty of making judgments before we should and it is a forum for posters to express their opinions but those opinions were made on less than a full game and some of the comments were unnecessary IMO.

Of course but when you let two 20 goals season men go in Doyle and Vaughan and you sign players like Guthrie to replace, fans are always gonna be skeptical about how good they are. He was signed at the wrong time in that respect really.
We need more options up front for me. It’s still very similar and lacking in goals

If I recall correctly when we signed Guthrie, the impression was that he was a talented footballer but a bit lazy and with some attitude problems. As we know this is something Stuart may be able to work on.
