If we are looking at strikers from league one I wonder if we have spoken to Jordy and Brett Pittman, both out of contract and both would rather not drop down to league two I imagine.

Pitman has only ever played down south. Now at 32 I don't think he'd move here.

 

McCall was saying the players he wanted were at clubs who wanted them off the wage bill so must still be contracted

 

Good as he would be, I am not sure Grigg would drop down to Lge 2 even if we could afford him. Suspect we are more likely to be looking at Ryan Taylor (ex Plymouth but born in Rotherham) or Louis Moult who has just been released by Preston (after a season long absence with ACL injury). Stuart got the best out of him at Motherwell previously.

 

If i was at the club looking to sign new players, i would keep the information released down to a bare minimum .
Why tell any possible players / agents , we have just recieved x amount for so and so.
Footballers and there agents, dont live in the real world, like the rest of us and probably dont know what covid is or dont care and will still try and demand stupid wages , salary cap or not.
Hence Aberdeen and Celtics games , being called off, because of idiotic footballers .

 

Freddie Hinds in on loan from Bristol city is one rumour. Signed for Colchester last season and I don’t think he played one game.

There are some lovely places to live in Lincolnshire, doesn't have to be Cleethorpes or Grimsby. Just like players option if they sign for us. Plenty of nice places to live within reasonable distance

 

I think there will be a lot of "Vaughan" transfers being done before
the season starts.Released by "mutual consent" could become the
norm because clubs have to survive and getting rid of players who
are on bigger wages will become available and in turn,they will have
to be realistic as the money won't be there any more until the crisis
has passed,if it ever does....

 

In other words convincing them to come to Bradford City, our stock / pull gets weaker year on year. Banging in the door to convince doesn’t feel like the sort of player we want. With the salary cap we can’t even bribe them with cash now.

 

Can't be true, there must be 100's of players out there whose lifetime ambition has been to pull on a Bradford City shirt...
