It's amazing clubs keep giving him a chance when there are so many other options For a start he aint that good and only a fool would think he can change a players attitude. Walks round with a face like a slapped arse, just like his dad.

I believe quite a lot!!! Gotta be frustrating as a striker to have balls lumped 70 yards up to you for 90 mins.

We all moaned about Bowyer, Vaughan was no different. It probably showed he cared if anything - trying to justify a decent wage for this level - finding it hard to repay the club and fans. That's my spin anyway!

 

If they were affordable I'd take Hiwula or Connolly. People will say no end product but pace causes problems and creates soaces and chancesfor others. I would guess connolly wouldn't break the bank

 

I’d expect about 4 or 5 of these type of signings. “Steady Eddie” types who McCall and Rohodes know will be easy to negotiate with and won’t moan when they are here. Then the gaps we will get our begging bowl out for loan players to fill the squad out.

 

He's a quality player at this level and certainly better than what we have. In Vaughan, Novak and Donaldson (regardless of a lack of pace) we've got enough firepower for at least the play offs, it's the other areas of the squad we desperately need to focus on.

I think Vaughan will go to free up wages. If Clarke is brought in to replace him, then I'll be slightly miffed.
Wonder if we'll be back for that lad we signed on loan for Rangers. Didn't get much game time, hence me not recalling his name. He didn't look very good, so it's probably a nailed on signing.

 

I worry that you might be right.
If Vaughan goes then we will struggle massively for goals. The strikers left inc B Clarke don’t scream goals at all.

It would also be extremely frustrating in that McCall showed last time what a difference a proper goalscorer makes in his sides. We were a different beast once Wyke signed and if we’d had him all season then we’d have gone up automatically IMO.

Cant see us letting Vaughan go even though he's on good money I'd think, only striker with any idea in front of goal, it will be very disappointing if we let him go, this coming season we need promotion.

 

Maybe saved from vaughan going by Tranmeres relegation and their manager going to manage in Scotland. Otherwise he’d have been a shoe in to go there

I reckon it’s an ego thing, all managers reckon they have what it takes to get the best out of a player. The likes of Balotelli and so on keep getting clubs because managers probably think the goals are worth the hassle and they can get the player back on the straight and narrow. And then they get sacked first.

 

They cant afford a manual at the moment @Bantamsteve , it is just a sheet of a4 paper.
