The players will also be a key factor , a few have already said they're worried about a re-start , i can't see why playing at a neutral venue would make any difference , just mean more fans travelling to what ever ground they played at . I honestly think ( bearing in mind whats happening at VP ) that the season will be ended next week . Then the lawyers will get involved , its a big mess at present . Whatever is decided somebodies going to be unhappy .

Think the idea is have 3 or 4 grounds, multiple games a day and then it limits the medical crews needed as its 1 per venue rather than 1 per game.

 

I'm furloughed currently , scheduled to return next week , but we are told to carry out both a risk assesment and method statement , if the job is deemd unsafe it will be left . With regards dont play no pay how would that work ? if the PFA back the players there will be no football . It doesen't matter an iota what the Premier or EFL want to do the Government will have the final say , currently there are 4000 profesional players in England , to test them alone would mean 66k tests , then you have to factor in officials media etc , on top of that the players families would need testing or if they stop in hotels all the staff would require testing . Then you'ld have Rugby - Cricket - F1 -Horse racing etc clamering to restart , how would the Government justify all the required testing ?

 

More players and staff congregating in one place? Saves medical staff but causes other problems?

You would imagine clubs would be separated inside the ground (makeshift changing rooms etc) and I doubt more than two clubs would be allowed at the ground at any one time. Maybe a couple of hours in between games to clean or whatever. Not ideal but it takes less ambulances and paramedics off the front line which would obviously be a condition of restarting.

 

Don't really get how the testing would work, if you test everyone before a game then fair enough they could be given the all clear for the game, but then they go home and contract it after, so are they going to re-test EVERYONE involved each time before every game??

Now if a player really doesn't want to play then fine, stay at home for 12/18 and ruin your career.

This virus isn't going away.. you seem to think it is. Deal with it or stay in lockdown! That applies to all of us under 70.

3 players have tested positive for corona virus in Germany from same side. Now spending 14 days in quarantine. What an absolute mess. I can’t stress enough we need to give this up. Will we only stop if a player or a family member of a player dies?
