Presume you’re on about Woolery.

Reported that we paid £350,000 for him - FGR had him on loan when they won the Vanarama and had offered £175,000. No way would have Power doubled that to get him.

He’s got all the attributes - lightning pace, decent in the air, got a good long throw if that’s your thing and has been involved in a lot of our goals.

Now the bad news. He’s infuriating. Gets in good positions and invariably makes the wrong decision - either shooting or passing. His crossing tends to hit the first defender. But, if he’s being asked to pass it into the area instead of crossing it he may well do better with the big lump of a striker in the middle.

It’s horses for courses - as you found out with Doyle. I like Woolery but he’s OOC in the summer so, I guess, if a club is offering him a decent contract now he’s bound to be interested.

 

Think that’s every winger in this division and that’s what separates them from playing higher up. If he was returning 15+ assists and double figure goals for the positions he was getting in, he would be in the championship or above. But the reason he is and others are not is because of what you said where they are infuriating. It’s our level and he sounds like he’d be a decent addition. Problem for us is we will have no strikers left at the club to cross it too

 

Not being patronising, but in your (Bowyer’s) set-up you’ll get a whole lot more out of Woolery than you did/would have out of Doyle.

For players (new signings) to play on Saturday then they have to be signed and registered by 12pm on Friday.

Could we see who play on Saturday for who? Doyle for us? We would be mad to let Doyle go having let Vaughan go with no replacement. So a possibility but it's looking slim.

For him to play for Swindon on Saturday the deal has to be done by 12pm tomorrow as stated above.

 

I'm not convinced Bowyer can get the best our of any forward mate.

It's no wonder players don't want to play under him. If I was Wooley no way would I be signing for Bradford if I was him while Bowyer was there. No chance!

Sometimes players fit, Doyle hasn't fit since he's been here, it's unfair on the lad to have him here. Better off using the freed up salary elsewhere. You have a system that suits Doyle to a tee but its not done exclusively to fit Doyle. Our strength is defensive, its not pretty to watch but neither was the football served up by Parkinson and thay was based on defence. A central defensive midfielder is an absolute must for us, we simply don't have one.

 

Yeah, I believe it would be done but only Bradford under Rhodes could let 2 forwards go and not have ready made replacements.
