From what I keep seeing every week we dont have the players and our manager is inept. I've been saying for a fair while it's got McCalls second season all over it, the more I watch the more obvious it becomes.

Look everyone as an opinion on the current state of play but surely even the most hardcore supporter must be feeling aggrieved with our poor performances home and away.
    Who do you blame?
    The manager,The Players?
Supporters pay to be entertained on a match day and it's not happening.
The club want 20,000 plus to commit to buying a cut price season ticket, that doesn't mean we have to put up and watch the same old lacklustre performances been served up week in week out without a voice been heard in anger.
    Unexceptable City.

Some of the counter attacking football they played was top draw albeit against a wide open City side. At what point does Bowyer realise certain players are a waste of a shirt?

I actually think you’re quite correct. An absentee owner will not sack a manager who has his team in playoff positions. It will be rationalised to him
that Scunthorpe have an outstanding away record over last six matches. It would cost a lot to sack Bowyer and whoever came in would want signings in the window. Only if City drop out of contention will dismissal be seriously discussed. That’s not to say I have a great deal of faith in our manager. To reiterate what I said earlier in the day, the team needs additions. I also think it needs Bowyer to be much more adventurous. If he had a midfield general he could afford to let his players attack more. Shockingly today Scunny had over 60 per cent possession.

Exactly. Big difference between direct play and negative play.

The point I was trying to make (admittedly not that well!) was that as individual players the first 13/14 are more than good enough for league two and a decent manager should be able to get them playing well enough together to attack more and win more.

I'm still in shock as to how Palmer gets 90 mins. We were on the attack and Vaughan made a run and it was the most obvious time to pass and he just...turns around? He's beyond dreadful and negative, never going forward with his play. Then you have McCartan who just ran at them. Palmer would hold up traffic in a Concorde, he's so slow to act.

He was an embarrassment to the club himself and Bowyer, offered nothing all game, there must be a clause to say "if fit" he must play the man was dire.

It honestly looks like the players are fed up of playing for this dinosaur too, none of them seem to be enjoying it.

For what it's worth their keeper looked awful.

He got out of the way and face Akpan an open goal, but after Vaughan scored we didn't test him once

Lack of leadership, no composure, slower to the ball, poor movement off the ball non committal in tackling - features of the team today.

They also had a winger playing at right back, but did we put a winger on his side to test him? Did we bollocks.

This is one of the reasons why I feel Bowyer plays up to the crowd or powers that be with his statements.. Palmer is the greatest example of passing backwards or sideward within our team yet stays on the pitch..

listening to GB you think he’d at least make that point to him by hooking him off, if that was genuinely what he wanted (as he infers in interviews etc).

Make no mistake this is a GB safety first tactic..

I can't for the life of me understand how Palmer stayed on the pitch for 90mins. I was shocked to see him start if I am honest. I thought both him and Reeves might be on the bench.

However, Palmer started and it you think go on then show us what you really are about because since he's been here he's been dreadful. Today he was a disgrace... he ran about, pulled out of 50/50 challenges, passed the ball real bad.

He has to have something in his contract that means he has to stay on the pitch if not then I don't know what Bowyer sees in him as he's is a bad player.

    Send him back!

Same old same old again! Why? Why does nothing
change? Teams are dominating us on our patch and
we let them.It really is a miracle we are still involved in
    play off places.

The manager has to address why this dross is repeated
without any improvement. We will drop way if it continues!

Are our players poor or is it just bad tactics?

Had their defender not pulled up injured
I doubt Akpan would have scored he gift wrapped it for him

    In terms of the game.

We were lucky to be 2-0 in terms of play.

Thought Doyle and Vaughan tried but no service.

Akpan did well for 60 mins.

However, overall as a team we were shocking. How Mellor gets in the side I never know.

    Wood was poor.. extremely poor.

Palmer a disgrace to the shirt.

Scunny should of won he match and they deserved too.

The mods have been giving me a hard time lately and I really can't be bother with certain people not really telling it how it is then laughing in all our faces.

I speak the truth.. to all that didn't go to the game today... we were awful! That second half was an embarrassment!

Bowyer in my mind won't take this club up!
