No mate, i like to think i study the game and i've seen his every game since he came back. Most of the time he's a level above everyone else but the way we play is first and foremost defensive. Hence the goals for and against. And that isn't going to get the best out of any attack minded midfielder which to be fair isn't Reeves best position.

AOC for me. Once Paudie learns how to play alongside AOC then we could have the best centre back pairing in the league which is a vital ingredient in any team aspiring for promotion.

No surprise to see City fans picking a defender.

    Every year almost without fail.

    I choose Vaughan.

He's third top scorer in the division, gets no service, yet works tirelessly.

Narrowly missed a few screamers, but easily our best attacking player.

Agree with rationale for defence (good) and Vaughan (works hard with little service).
I've voted O'Donnell, who I feel is a strong, vocally encouraging, keeper for the team and seems to be getting better and better (not been challenged that much last few games though).

Pritchard has gone under the radar for me. 6 assists and 3 goals is a fine effort from midfield. Swapping him with Scannell who scored and created next to nothing was a shrewd bit of business from Bowyer.

Impressive stats, particularly as he's only played about a dozen times for us. Let's hope he's back up and running ASAP.

AOC for me, with Wood not far behind. Worst players are Anderson or Palmer

I'm struggling to see the attraction of Palmer too. Didn't do anything for me before he was injured and now we have Cook and Reeves who play in a similar style but better.
AOC best player for me too. Quietly getting on with his job. Mention for Vaughan too who is working his bollocks off

The player of the season so far was always going to be a defender and more than likely a central defender because if either of two/three centre backs weren't playing well under Bowyers strategy then we wouldn't be anywhere near the playoffs. Injuries to two of those three at the same time and we would either struggle or Bowyer would be forced into playing a different way. Anthony O'Connor has been quality all through the season, BRE has been solid but prone to the odd gaffe here and there and Paudie has fit in well when needed.

Although AOC has been Strong defensively, I still feel he hinders us somewhat when building up attacks.
This was evident vs Swindon where any sort of free ball wether it would be on the ground or aerially he'd just clear it as far as he could. Now this could be down to the manager's instructions or Anthony himself. If he was to be a little more composed it would definitely take AoC to the next level.

This is why Wood has to be POTS so far, strong both attacking and defending, his crossing stats are amongst the best in England. Composed, quick and the character has shown since last season to push on and improve as he has is remarkable (as well as AoC)

Sorry I disagree. I think AOC is one of our more "footballing" defenders. I don't know about against Swindon but the last home match against Morecambe he often found himself in space on the right and was playing balls down the wing or into the feet of Vaughan and more often Connelly. I think he is more than capable but like others suffers due to the lack of movement in front of him and negative play form our midfielders

AOC followed by Wood, which is sad when were talking about a team expected to win the league.
