Firstly well done to the back 5 for shackling Morecambe’s one up front !!!!!!!!!

Secondly what is the point playing McCarten when all we do is bypass the area of the field he’s occupying. That said he was terrible on the ball

Thirdly, Cooke a shoe in before Palmer, Palmer and Reeves too similar and Palmer is rubbish anyway

Finally we have a genuine out and out winger in Connelly who when moved out wide frightened them to death, just leave him there.

Mr Bowyer.. it really is that simple to sort

Oh and I would sign a new right back in Jan

 

Vaughan should have done much better from that great cross by Reeves, free header down either side of the keeper it's a goal, and a great effort from Ismail that rattled the crossbar goal keeper beaten.

Vaughan got his 9th booking of the season today , so just 1 booking from a 2 match suspension.....

 

Bowyer said he's back with the squad so just a matter of getting match fit I would hope.

 

He does some daft stuff at times, he could have been booked for the challenge on Halstead luckily the referee saw it for what it was, and the play acting by the keeper.

 

Which he will more than likely pick up against Swindon.

 

pretty sure he was on the pitch with Akpan before the game today doing some ball work with one of the coaches so hopefully not too far off. certainly looked to be moving about quite well.

 

Yeah, he was another dreadful player on the pitch today.

 

Yeah, he's shite just like I've been telling everyone all season yet most think a couple of decent sub appearances for Lincoln somehow means he's proven his worth.

Get rid the first chance we get, buy Cooke and play him in McCartens role where he should have been all along.

Said at the time Dave it should have been at least on target. Take away Vaughans penalties he has only got 3 goals in open play if I am correct.

 

Don't understand how people can slag reeves of this game him and connoly were the only ones that looked capable of doing anything we are not direct enough at all vaughan litterly has no chance to be brought into the game its always hoofed from the back instead of played direct up the middle to bring the strikers into play other then that very boring match but a result none the less.

 

That goes in first half and the team get a lift, far too pedestrian today nobody wanted to make that run., be hey 3 more points.

 

What we had today was a back five who played the ball around among themselves and then gave a pass to a deep midfielder, usually Reeves who gave it back to them. This went on for a bit and then Henley or Wood might make a little foray, then backtrack and give it to Reeves who looked around, came under a bit of pressure and gave it back to the defence. No one looking for space in midfield, no one looking to beat a man and drive forward, the front two miles away and miles apart, no pace whatsoever in anything we did. Occasionally Connolly got the ball in a wide position and tried to make something of it, because that's where he's most comfortable, but then there was only an outnumbered Vaughan in the box. I can honestly say that I had no idea how they thought they might score, and I don't think they knew either. In and amonst there were speculative long balls and numerous passes that went to the opposition or into touch. The most mindnumbing attempt at football I've seen in a long while. Then, finally, we go to 4-4-2 and at last we look a bit of a threat. Not much, because old habits die hard, but enough to get a scrappy goal.
And our manager thinks we played very well.
