We could employ Churchill the nodding dog as manager and he would find a positive out of it. Bizarrely only seems to find negatives in Stuart McCall's managership even after getting us to a playoff final and 6th in the playoffs.

Heard a rumour today it’s between Barker and McCann for job.

Warburton wants more than we can offer and more time to consider his options.

Richie barker assistant at Rotherham currently. Not a very flattering cv but is a coach.

Hardly a flattering pair to choose from but hey ho.

Which also means that either we have signed/developed players who have become good enough, but during that time have been on long-term contracts which are both consistent with our club's policies and still favourable enough to the players that neither they nor their agents have agitated for moves elsewhere, or that we have signed players with sufficient quality on going-rate contracts, which may therefore not be on terms favourable to the club's policies though satisfactory for the players.

What's that sound I hear? Chickens and eggs chasing each other around, methinks...
With one particular poster .. yes!

He hasn't changed since the days of the old OMB. And I recall Ed getting fed up with his same behaviour on C&B until the point when the only answer to Ed's own headaches was to remove the source of them. ;)
Which was the ultimate in censorship. So what if Park like me believes that the Town model of 2003-5 onwards is similar to what is happening now? Does it have to be result in so much mirth and abuse, bordering on bullying?

None of you get the point - SIMILAR, i.e. NOT THE SAME

Yet you use the Hoyle funds of 2011-2012 when they'd already had six or seasons benefit from their policy etc. Of course Hoyle's going to put his hands deeper in his pocket - he can see the returns he gets, with players like Pilkington

Some of have already said several times, that we are at the start of that journey - but we simply get the Hoyle regime of the last six years used to put up an argument, when we're not even comparing the current set up to then, merely pointing out that's the prototype

    Awful.

Hoping he has learnt something from the last 3 years as asssitant rather than the 3 before where he’s been sacked from every job I think.

I haven't got a clue what you're really talking about or what points you are trying to make.

In particular, I have absolutely no understanding what the relevance of Huddersfield Town 2003-2005 has to the current debate on how owners need to invest in their own clubs to provide the funds for success. Much of the discussion has been about how Dean Hoyle has brought Town success by pumping £50mill+ into his club prior to them getting promoted to the PL. And now you're taking it back 15 or so years to a time long before Dean Hoyle was even a director at Town. For your information, Hoyle's involvement with Town didn't start until 2008 and the first time he invested in his home town club wasn't until 2009 when he became the majority shareholder and Chairman of the club. Since then, despite successfully developing and selling players,Town have made a loss in every year since then and Hoyle has provided the club with cash to make good that loss.

If you believe that Town provides a model, a prototype, a template for us to follow where the fundamental aspect of that is the owner's willingness to continue to fund the club then you are going to be sadly very disappointed.

And if instead you are looking for our club to use Town as a prototype but without the benefit of Hoyle's cash then it just isn't going to happen.

Saw Barker entering the betting odds list today. Is he Steve Evans' former assistant, who was causing as much bother as Evans in the infamous Crawley match?

I’d love it to be Warburton but he’ll have other irons in the fire I’d have thought. Of the rest available it’ll end up being McCann most likely. Barker & Drury should be nowhere near being considered and if they are then it just goes to show you what a shower of shite we’ve got in charge.

With the names being rumoured to be linked recently, assuming its not Warburton, then McCann would do for me

Just as well from a Peterborough point of view, that Barry Fry has help. According to Steve Claridge (What Barry Fry knows about football you can write on a postage stamp.

What he does have though is contacts. Particularly in lower and non league football
