My sentiments exactly, individually very good central midfield players, together I am not convinced much of a muchness in my eyes, we have a number of other options we could use Reeves with either Taylor, Akpan, Palmer or Devitt.

 

Quite an easy one this we are 20 games in we are just recovering from a massive injury list and we are only out of the automatics on goal difference so I would say based on that we are a very good bet for automatic promotion

 

Pull your tongue out of the clubs arse. Scraping draws at Macc and Orient and a win at home against Newport isn’t automatic promotion material. We’ve played the last 4 or 5 games with almost a full strength team

I agree with a lot of your post, but the white noise does come across as an overreaction even if individual posters aren't necessarily going OTT.

It's one insignificant away game with a disappointing result and disappointing performance. Does it need all the commentary?

And I hate when people bring 'paying customer' arguments into the debate - it's only relevant to non-season ticket holders, and if you think anyone will remember dull games if we get promoted, I suggest you could not be more wrong. It's statements like this that ARE overreactions.

Well it isn't though is it. It's just the latest in a number of poor performances this season.

Macclesfield was the same, Newport was nearly the same if it hadn't been for an early Christmas gift from their centre half, Plymouth was even worse. And that's just the last few league games.

 

It's not just one insignificant away game though. Our away form is pretty bad generally and although our home results have been good, we've been fortunate to gain a number of narrow wins without playing well courtesy of defensive howlers and own goals. At no stage have we looked convincing, except in defence, and it wouldn't take much for our luck to turn.
As for the paying customers, I was referring to away games so season tickets are irrelevant. ST holders pay the same for away games as anyone else and there is a limit to how many displays like Saturday's people will inflict on themselves.

 

I suggest we all postpone our thoughts until the January window kicks in. If we do some business there - either bringing Doyle back, selling him, getting new players in or a combo of both - then it shows Rupp is serious. IF we fail to get promoted after spending money on players in the second half of the season (traditionally used for a serious promotion push) then I'd consider it a failure.

 

I find it funny when people go on about luck we have been ravaged with injuries this season and it is amazing that after an injury list like ours we are where we are which is joint top on home form and ninth on away form 3 points of away play off not exactly a disaster.

 

Have none of the other teams in this league had injuries ?

 

They probably have and to be fair it will most likely have had a bigger impact on them due to squad size. However with or without injuries only 4 teams are currently doing better than us and 2 of them are on a technicality.

 

I assumed you weren't talking specifically about away games because I don't think we make much money from away games.

If so, I'm not sure it really matters - but given we're a club that sells priority away season tickets, I'm pretty sure the attendances away from home aren't suddenly going to drop off.

As much as some like to paint us as a club that only gets support for cheap season tickets, our record of away attendances kinda blows that out of the water.

However, those that travel the length and breadth of the country definitely deserve to see a side going out to win games at the very least.

 

I'm not promoting Bowyers sacking but hoping he will take on board
genuine concerns about the performances we are producing.No clear
cut wins,no out playing anyone really and lack of goals when most
probably thought our recruitment would produce loads.

What you say about Wenger is correct,and yes,the fans got rid of
him and I bet they wish they hadn't! We should let Bowyer deal
in the Jan window and hope he starts using Connelly and Ismael
as they offer pace and trickery,getting service from the wings is
a big asset to scoring from open play.

 

I hear what you're saying Bronco but it's frustrating, games
like L.O. should be seen as getting 3 points.We seem to lack belief
and our attempt at getting anything out of the game was holding
on for a point and second half letting them dictate play.Just not
good enough.While we drop points the top two pull away and we
Could easily drop out of promotion places.Things need to improve.

Nope! I said automatics are out of the question if GB carries on the way he is. I don’t think play offs is worth a gamble for me to part with my cash as the quality of the division is so dire this season so anything could be possible
