It’s an easy option. Fordy offers nothing. Just cries for a sacking at the first opportunity. We had 3 managers last season. That worked well....

Then You might actually come up with something that resonates with someone who has a reasonable understanding of events.

Not many managers do finish a contract if you followed football you would realise this.

Very much doubt GB will resign/be sacked, purely down to having to pay him out. Also they probably want some managerial continuity after what preceded GB

Having said that, if he did go, I’d love to Ian Holloway as boss. With the budget our current manager has had, we’d be 10 points clear already under him

 

Obviously Pritchard, Connolly and Cooke are better than Anderson, Devine and Akpan. But they are being constrained by the current ultra negative tactics. Connolly has been on the bench for the last two games and only got on in the 88th minute last week. Yesterday was crying out for Connolly or Ismail to have half an hour to unlock Orient's fragile defence.

I don't think it's personnel that's making goals an issue, it's tactics. We have a proven Championship/PL striker being played out of position as a target man and rendered largely ineffective, exactly as Doyle was. Oteh looks sharp but gets no decent service either. We create pitifully few chances per game. Quite honestly we could have Gary Linker, Denis Law or Jimmy Greaves playing for us and we'd still struggle to score.
If you set up with a five man defence, three defensive midfielders and two isolated strikers against the second worst defence in the division it's no surprise when you fail to score. We didn't even force a single corner all game FFS - I cannot remember another game when that happened. Just exactly how did Bowyer expect us to create scoring chances with that lineup? Fair enough if he'd let the wing backs bomb forward but they played as conventional fullbacks, leaving us with no width and no creativity whatsoever.
Yes, we need more strength in depth up front in January. But I don't see how that's going to get us more goals unless we actually create some chances.

Unless my eyes are deceiving me despite the "poor performance" yesterday we did move up the table, as i have stated in a previous thread you need to get real, we or any other team are not going to beat the likes of Leyton Orient 4-0 away or anybody else for that matter.

I would suggest to you and others that are of the Gary Bower out camp take a realistic view of where we are in the league after 20 games we currently stand in 5th place (In reality joint third albeit on goal difference) whilst I agree the football is not the most entertaining in the world the actual results tell a different story., and for me its results over performance every time to get us out of this division.

Finally using your argument if we are in the top three by the end of the year I take it your constant abuse of Gary Bowyer will come to an end?

Unfortunately his Stoke team couldn't do it on the pitch 6 wins from 38 coached by a midfielder/defender.

 

Stoke have been in freefall for a couple of years. His Luton side were outstanding at L1 and 2 level.

 

Vaughan is the best player in this Division period. Yes he has not shown it but that is dictated by the players around him and the manager that cannot work out how to get the best from him. Cooke has been AWOL for weeks now I would send him back to Pboro after Xmas.

 

It's not good to watch, I think most folk would agree, Bowyer included. I get why some would like us to get rid of him and I think perhaps we should be doing better than we are. But, we are still in a decent position to achieve promotion and as long as that is realistically possible then Bowyer stays for me.
