We rely on target men, tidy central midfield, tight defence, and feel we should win with three or four good chances and we should in theory take one or two of them.

To state the obvious, that's wrong.

We're in div 4 because we were awful last season. How good we are this season has no impact on what division we're playing in.

We are picking up points overall though with an excellent home record. I heard the same criticism last week when we had a far more comfortable win than the score suggests. I accept we are not as fluent going forward as we could be but we are spot on defensively and perhaps when the line leader we badly need returns we can afford to go back to 442

Yeh, we've had awful luck with regards to injuries. But we've had tonnes of it in regards to winning games.

Agree on the tight defence. But tidy midfield? Not sure considering we seem to bypass them most weeks.

Reeves has just added to the negative play in a bad way.

Looks busy, collects ball from defenders then passes it side ways..

It's painful... he's a decent player but offering nothing at the minute.

It’s a gamble. If we go up it will be some how vindicated but it’s god awful to watch. If we don’t go up, we will have to change him cos fans don’t want to watch this. With the squad we have, we should expect more than just safety first football. Credit to him for turning us around personnel wise but that qualifies him for a director of football role, not the manager/coach role who surely has a duty to play attacking/ entertaining football to get the fans to turn up.

Safety first football doesn’t get results. We are getting results and getting out of this league is the main priority

A bit of a ‘pusillanimous’ result against the 20th worst team over their last six home results and sitting 19th in the division.

Yes if getting a ‘result’ is a draw against teams in such a position, off the back of a very poor run is okay, then what on earth can we expect against Carlisle, Swindon and Crawley away?

    Two points at best?

That is given their home form, position in the table, coupled to our ‘safety’ first approach.

It will ‘slip away’ on that basis!

Find that comment a bit strange, considering Cooke has been the tidiest player on the pitch for the first half of the season to date, and Reeves has been just that since returning.

Whether or not we're bypassing midfield too much is one thing, that we're tidy in midfield shouldn't really be up for debate?

    We're not.

League Two isn't a poor standard, and we're definitely one of the best three sides in the division.

All well and good, but it's a bit 'gamblers logic' for me.

Leyton Orient's form over six games definitely wasn't good - they've been seen as an away side during that time - but by all accounts they seem to have played well today, and are potentially addressing their home form.

If we now see a significant upwards trajectory in their home results, those stats means absolutely nothing.

You only have to look at Scunthorpe to see how writing off a team purely on form isn't sensible.

Leyton Orient had a decent start to the season, appear to have had a bit of a slump, but there's nothing to indicate they can't finish top half.

Entertaining football is the last of our concerns.

    We're in League Two.

Getting out of League Two, where the club isn't remotely sustainable, is of absolute priority.

In the next two months we'll start hearing the 'fans are turning away in droves' comments that we get every year without fail. It will be wrong, again, as it always is.

Just do what is needed to get promoted.

    Nothing else matters.

Were not one of the top 3 in the division.

If we turn up at swindon on the 4th jan with the mentality we had today.... it will show you how poor we are away from home.

I understand that picking up wins at home and drawing away will get you there or there abouts come the end of the season. But I said to a friend when we left the ground.... if I were an orient fan, I would have been pissed that we didnt pick up all 3 points.

Going against a team in such poor form, we should be set up more positively at home or away. No arguments. It was poor to watch and quite frankly an embarrassment to be a part of today
