It's not really irrelevant with it being a thread about politics but it's the sort of reply I expected...

Video of Johnson nicking a journo's phone cos he can't bring himself to even look at the photo of the poor kid on the floor in Leeds hospital, Imagine the headlines if Corbyn had done that

I've spent enough time at the LGI that this feels pretty close to home. How is this incompetent and nasty bastard our prime minister?

Apart from wanting Brexit I sure as hell wouldn't be voting Tory BUT looking at Labour and the leader I can't vote for a man with his history of support for many let's say dubious regimes and leaders, I accept it's the manifesto not the leader you vote for but their stand on Brexit now is not what most believed before the referendum.

Just out of interest then, who will be getting your vote on Thursday then?

Oh, and why did your last reply to me have to be edited by a moderator?

The manifesto is the stuff of fairy tales, and it's running riot with a credit card with no way to pay it back. If they get in then the true meaning of Austerity will be known in years to come when IMF are bailing us out. This is also prior to all the add ons that have been announced post manifesto such as Waspi women, 20,000 teachers, 2bn trees, etc.

The only way out I see is to vote for Johnson, Force Labour to select a credible leader with credible policies that aren't just trying to offer everyone a free unicorn.

However the issue is far deeper in the Labour party as it is currently run by the loony Momentum group and their stormtroopers who will ensure even after massive votes of no confidence that Corbyn or Corbyn Mk 2 carries on.

Exactly right, because of the loony's grip on Labour they will not learn their lesson and will elect a Corbyn clone to take them even further backwards....

Of course they are all of them, the Tories go on about taking over when the country was skint but let's not kid ourselves that was down to the Labour party, the financial meltdown was not of Labours making the majority of capitalist countries caught the cold when the USA sneezed,
As far as funding the likes of our NHS I believe Labour are more serious that the Tories irrelevant of figures thrown around, for Cameron to have the cheek to tell people "were all in it together" was taking the piss, it always has been and always will be the poorer in society that get the shitty end of the stick.

when talking about coatings don’t forget that the renationalisations are not costed either so that will be a good few more billions added on.

The Labour party under Brown was going to budget to cut spending too, if I remember rightly so was going to do something similar to the Tory/Lib Dems. As they didn't get in and didn't have to implement it, it's sad that they attack the Tory/Lib Dems for doing so when they would do the same.

    It's line one on here.

Yup, Corbyn should walk away from politics for good if he can't beat Johnson, like a WWE quit for good match. But then Labour appointing him tells me they're not really serious about running the country.

Aren't some or all of the utilities that Corbyn wants to renationalise tied into pension funds?

If you mean owned by pension funds then yes. Pension Funds are one of the largest owners of shares in the UK across of fields, then if you take Investment Funds etc in as well that is a huge percentage of share ownership

Yeah i'm no expert in this sort of stuff but i'd expect a lot of disgruntled pension scheme owners if their portfolio started to drop value.

it would all depend on the value that Parliament put on them, they are getting debt notes with fixed returns rather than hard cash. But I can not see them giving market value
