Who mentioned Jeremy Corbyn? Corbyn can say all he wants but hasn't a clue what can be done. The IEA is probably correct on this particular point but this is against a background where it proposes privatising the NHS.

Now back to your point on how the pharma world is some kind of gigantic drug supermarket where competition rules OK. How would the UK buy the even more expensive drugs from the US companies as a result of agreeing an extension in patent periods in return for a trade deal on cheap hormone injected beef and cheap poultry? Increase taxes to fund the NHS' additional costs or ration certain drugs to keep the costs under control?

Blimey, scraping the barrel there :joy:
Had to look them up, there's an entire section on their wikipedia page about their dodgy financing and dealings with Tory MPs

Polls do seem to be tightening over the past couple of weeks lending weight to a couple of things:

    1. The short campaign fundamentally doesn’t change anything. We seem to be seeing a very similar picture to 2017, people get squeezed into making their vote matter when push comes to shove.

    2. 2 party politics is going nowhere until we adopt a new voting system.

It’s a strange position to be in where a standard polling error could be the difference between a landslide majority and a change of government.

It is the real world and how politics work in reality, Perhaps you should take your schoolboy politics back to the playground

Just watched Jo Swinson on Andrew Neil tonight. Thought she was head and shoulders above Jeremy Corbyn.

That guy is a joke. Still Antisemitism isn't and issue in the Labour party.

That's maybe because Corbyn has promised so much that is undeliverable that it's far harder to defend. She also acknowledged what she feels she had did wrong where as Corbyn wouldn't so that ended Andrew Neil's questioning on that subject as she wasn't backed into corners.

It normalises it and it grows from there. If he didn't think there was anything wrong with it himself, why did he keep denying he had said it?

Depends what your agenda is. If Labour keep pulling the islamaphobia card out then the Tories are gonna fire the anti-semitism cannon straight back. Meanwhile the election is about a week away yet we still see playground semantics still being used.

The New Statesman which although independent has always been regarded as the house Labour party paper has astonishingly come out against Corbyn saying he is unfit to be a leader of the country and they cannot support him,

I think it's tragic that he denied saying it, he should be strong enough to stand up for what he, purportedly, passionately believes in viewing the clip of his speech.

You didn't answer my question though. Do you think what he was saying was anti-semitic?

I don’t necessarily agree or disagree with the New Statesman’s view, I personally subscribe and it’s one of the few good examples of long form left leaning journalism. But it’s never seen itself as the ‘house paper of the Labour Party’, it’s always rejected vehemently that label.
