it is the only way they can stop blue badge holders parking there which is why they have used them as they want no one parking there.

I’m not sure on the reasoning behind the bits on Midland Road but I totally get it behind the Kop as people have been parking on both sides of the road making the road so narrow traffic can only pass in one direction at a time that along with the section of Midland Road was causing an issue.

Badly parked fans have caused it on that part, as I say not sure about the other bit.

They haven't had to shell out anything yet and if the council has anything about them they would drop the fines and provide an extra number of disability parking places on Midland Road.
Householders without a drive and holding a blue badge can apply for a parking space outside their home.
So why not provide more spaces for people who are council tax payers.
Midland Road is massively wide at the section under the Midland Road and with the road being closed off (Bradford Council gave permission) how are parking offences measured.
If the road isn't in operation why do parking restrictions still apply.

I don't know anything about crowdfunding accounts and it shouldn't have to come to that.
My beef is with the vindictive nature the council target certain groups of people and it's always the football crowd.
They targeted a rugby game at Keighley a while ago when the Bulls were there, again a premeditated strike on people visiting a certain area at a certain time of day.

Are these parking restrictions on the closed part of Midland Road?

    Yes.
So my thoughts are if a road is closed the restrictions shouldn't be an issue.

how did the cars get in there if the road is closed? Thought they only allowed those in with permission to park

The steward who stands on the road closed sign allows them in if they have a blue badge.
He also allows the coaches bringing away fans access, now if there are no loading or unloading markers I hope they don't allow fans off the coach adjacent to the turnstiles but then you wouldn't see a council warden before kick off time.

Don't know, all I know is the steward pulls back the barrier and allows them through.

Loads parked outside of an unlicensed venue and parked illegally when I walked past after the game. Have had 'retrospective' planning turned down about 3 times but functions still continue?

Tricky one, but I do wonder if Bradford Council took into account the fact that they might end up ticketing a significant number of blue badge holders?

Arguably, it is the provision of parking for Blue Badge holders which is now inadequate because of various changes in those areas. I question if an Equality Impact Assessment was completed when the changes were brought in.

The council should look into this, with the club working with fans on it.

I received a ticket , I was later than normal so I parked on the left hand side .I thought the road was inactive so any parking restrictions would not apply .I feel that this was a targeted attack on the sick & disabled.

Do they have a lift in the midland rd stand to get the disabled supporters into the stand from the roadside.

Looks like the council coffers will be swelled and parking warden attendants have gone a long way in reaching targets to justify their existence. It's the way of the world every day you see cars parked illegally and in most cases dangerously/obstructive Every day we see people speeding/driving dangerously and not get caught Like the innocent motorists who get convicted for driving 3 mph over the limit people parking (safely) at major events are "soft targets" ( cash generating opportunities)
It's a sad fact of life and indicative of today's society

This “I broke a law, but I didn’t break a law as bad as that person over there” act, is pathetic.

Indeed, there are lifts in the Midland Rd, Kop and main stands.

Have you any photographs of these vehicles parked illegally? Send them to the council/police.https://www.nextbase.com/en-gb/national-dash-cam-safety-portal/

Here @SimonW@SimonW, got any good stats and evidence suggesting whether the colour of your skin means your more predisposed to parking on double yellows or not?
