    I think with the situation as it is at Bury he would be a free agent, does Bowyer rate him or even want him, but as you say can play several positions.

    I'd say we're a striker and a defensive midfielder/ ball winner short now. 3 days to go and surely a bit to play with now Scannell has gone. Hopefully another 2 In, more if Akpan/Patrick do one

    Yea striker with real pace (probs a champ or prem young loan) and then a proven centre mid at league 2 level dunno someone like jacob mellis (not a stand out signing just a Gary Jones type older head who can tackle)

    IMO definitely need another striker. I do worry if/ when Vaughn/Donaldson are out injured we will be stuck. Also as a plan B if we are chasing a result. I agree with the other post about a Gary Jones type midfielder. Jedinak hasn’t a club yet has he

    Bowyer in t&a saying he will be happy to see back of the transfer window . Reading between the lines he's either done for this window or he expects more players to go before deadline . I hope we are not finished for me we still need a striker and a combative midfielder only a matter of time before Vaughan gets a ban he’s already on 4 yellows or we lose a forward to injury.

    No deffo not pal. I remember Man City playing town a couple of years ago in the fa cup. City gave Hudds a hiding but remember this lad never stopped. I seem to think he scored the Hudds goal but never stopped trying to create or spark something. When we played Forest Green last week and were crying out for that spark he popped in my mind

    Ideally Akpan and Anderson out, even though Anderson just signed a new contract, and replaced with one midfield enforcer.

    We are also desperate to replace Doyle, and give us another option up front.

    If that were to happen, I would be very happy with the squad.

    As Bowyer says though, be glad to see the window closed, and he can concentrate on working and gelling with a settled side.

    It's a scary thought if Donaldson or Vaughan are injured or suspended. Would be like when we had no other option to field Kai and Patrick, or that time when we were down to the bare bones in the goalkeeping department.
    It's an absolute no brainer to me, that we have to bring in a striker.

    Agree, has to be the priority now. Yes, a midfield enforcer would be great as well but I'll be really concerned if we don't bring in another striker.

    Imagine both injured/suspended at the same time. Not beyond the realms of possibility...

    How do you cover that scenario!
