True, we do need a squad. But if we are wanting to replicate Lincoln, we need players capable of getting into the squad. I’m not sure McCartan is

 

Why not he played a lot for Lincoln and that’s how we want to be this season

He proved he can be good at this level with Accrington and did a job for Lincoln so unless we can get some money back for him he will provide good competition

 

If Patrick scored 7 goals in a season, you wouldn’t class him as a back-up, so why does Shay get leeway?

In fact, you have spent all summer criticising Doyle despite him scoring 4 goals more than McCartan and at a higher level. This is why posters get frustrated by you Park. Your comments are just inconsistent..!

 

That’s it make things up I have never criticised Doyle I think play correctly he will score a lot of goals. I have criticised the way he gets played from deep. And it was you who who said McCarten played 50% of the games for Lincoln so 7 goals from that is not bad

McCartan was available for the entire season. He scored 7 goals in that entire season. It is irrelevant as to how many minutes Lincoln gave him. Fact is, they had better options than him, so played him for less than 50% of the time.

And you have criticised Doyle. You stated his game is about being a penalty box player only and should be played that way. You’ve even said you’d happily sell him if we could, to strengthen elsewhere, despite you rating him?

 

Your good at twisting things in amongst your rants criticising the way he is played is not criticising him. The only reason I said it might be right to sell him is if we play orthodoxly he will be sitting on the bench a lot on big wages.as others have said we are short of two or three players and any transfer fee and his wages would facilitate that. But in an ideal world I would be happy to have him competing for one of the striking positions

 

If Patrick scores 7 this season I'll bear my arse in the centre circle at Valley Parade.

He still played. He was a squad player. That's what they do. They back up the first team. They come in when needed. I doubt he will play 50% of our games this season.

General consensus from Lincoln fans was he did a good job and would be welcome back.
