Just a hypothetical here. But say the protests go ahead for the first game and we win our first 6 games, totally dominating in the process and we are looking like strong promotion candidates, do the protests continue?

 

I wonder if this is what the “Ed” of C&B meant when he said he was sick and tired of doom laden negative posts. I will add this to it, those without any thought, sense or reasoning to them.

As far as a protest group goes you are on your own...Oh and stay away from VP when protesting... stick to keyboard protests , but don’t ruin this forum otherwise it will “close” just like the excellent C&B.

 

A protest at the first game of the season?. What on earth do you hope to achieve by that?
We will have a new manager at the helm, new squad, hopefully better then Abbo and McCall assembled last summer, and you want to start the season in such a negative fashion instead of backing the new manager and players?. Sorry Jimmy, don't get it myself, and I suspect if you went ahead, your little posse would be ridiculed.

I would have liked Grayson to stay but think if one of the things he was put off by was the quality of and or the clubs lack of ownership of the training facilities he's got that bit wrong. These same facilities were used by the previous regime as a draw to get people in, including prem loanees by impressing parent clubs and players with the facilities.

No we don't own them and improvements can always be made but over the years I don't think Rawdon Meadows has held City back.

I'm worried about the club for several reasons. The training facilities isn't one of them. I'd look more at Grayson saying he didn't have a problem with Edin, he meant personally but I bet they were a long way from seeing eye to eye on the way to get success on the pitch.

To the OP I think we already have a protest group, the non renewing season ticket holders, and if things continue to slide next season that group will only get bigger.

There was a similar threat of protest during the last boards era. It had as much kick as muffin the Mule with a broken leg . This will go the same way. People make the mistake that one or two keyboard warriors represent the fan base as a whole. They Don’t

Some of the stuff being quoted now is straight out of the comic strip, as you say the training facilities at Rawdon Meadows are a joint project with the club and a company run through Woodhouse Grove.
They were upgraded a few years ago to help attract better transfer targets, they might not be as good as some at our level but I'd day far better than most, I'm not sure Thorpe Arch had a swimming pool.
Let's be fair they were the same training facilities when Grayson came in as they were when he left, so after his first training session did he say "if you dont upgrade these training facilities I won't be staying" did he hell, getting a firm commitment with regards the first team player budget should have been his main goal, he has to say stuff that make it look like they were going forward but the owners obviously couldn't match Grayson's plans for the immediate future, I don't blame him for trying to get the best deal that may have been more than the owners were prepared to finance, after all it's his managerial reputation that's on the line.

 

I fully understand why fans have had enough, and would want to protest. Furthermore I would always uphold his right to raise it. I just think we have not reached that tipping point yet. I want to see if they have learnt, the next manager will tell its own story as will our recruitment. A few months in will set which way we are going.
