    Spot on mate.

I'm not saying Wright is Messi but to blame him is just wrong.

Unfortunately Scannell has a long history of injuries during the second half of the last 3 seasons- 2016 knee, 2017 out 4 months ankle,2018 returned from Burton for 2 months rehab groin injury.

I was at Valley Parade when he was sent off against Sunderland, was his back injury caused by shoving over Cattermole?

I use their names because they are taking a big wage and not putting anything back. Wright has played and was poor every time. Bowyer hasn’t started him yet so he’s clearly not good enough. Same applies for Riley, on a big wage and has not impressed another manager to get a start. We played an unfit caddis over him at the start. Just goes to show

But Bowyer has brought in back into the squad and clearly he isn't match fit.

You're thinking about the Hopkin times. Hopkin is a poor manager. Forget Hopkin!

It's all about Bowyer now and Wright is back in the picture.

Also, get use to Wright being here. Has 2 years to run!

Is riley a complete write off? What did we think we were signing in terms of attributes and what did we actually get?

Don't think so. He has a contract. If anyone is to blame it's the people who signed him. You can hardly blame Scannel for signing a contract. If he was feigning injury then you might be able to accuse him of 'stealing a wage'. I don't think that is the case. It's just a matter of an injury prone player that the club took a real risk with. The risk hasn't worked out.

I don't blame him at all, I agree it was a gamble that hasn't worked out.

I was agreeing that he's a crock that I'd prefer to leave/get rid of.

I heard (could be complete bullshit mind) he fractured his back falling off a jet ski whilst serving his three game holiday/suspension.
If true, surely he is in breach of his contract?

Don’t just focus on the ones not playing in terms of wasted money, You can throw in 80% of the current first team to boot.

It’s all brass down the swanny

We have all forgotten Hopkin. You, on the other hand, seem to mention him in every other post.

I think the bit of the article that is most telling is the bit where Bowyer talks about him being 'mentally nervous'. Is he really having genuine physical setbacks or is it all in his head? Broken back or no broken back I would have thought a fit athlete following a proper rehabilitation programme should have recovered by now. The fact that he is saying he hasn't puts him in with the mentally weak crop of players we have at the moment. Bowyer main challenge will be finding a way to move these on.

Ha. I bet he'll play and even start on Saturday. Bowyer is desperate for some pace and width.
