I wonder whether short term contract is because of uncertainty regarding ownership and also Rhodes leaving in the summer?

Bowyer said last week that he has unfinished businesz at Blackpool, woukdnt surprise me to see him back there in the summer, now that Oyston has gone.

Whatever the reason for short term contract, its not ideal. We could be back to square one in the summer, looking for new manager and players, like we were last summer.

What?! Firstly, we are not even down yet and secondly he will be appointed until the end of the season.

 

Sensible coment but that's too boring and dull and doesn't fall into line with the mass hysteria some fans are determined to react with at any given opportunity. Probably makes sense on both sides to get him in and get him started. When a manager has just walked out on a long-term contract, why are people so obsessed with them, they mean nothing in modern football.

 

Agree, putting aside my objections about his baggage. I don’t see how reading the riot act will work. Unless Evans has a degree in psychology, I doubt he can turn it around. It looks like we have gone for the short term option, someone to try and help them win games.

 

If it’s bowyer until the end of the season then being a misery and sniping isn’t going to help the club now. The club needs everyone backing the manager until the end of the season then take stock. Bowyer needs just short of a miraculous turn around of form that couldn’t be achieved by the previous 5 managers. He or who ever it is deserves support and backing until May.

 

Not really, no. Just somebody to instantly earn respect in the dressing room and give the place a lift. Hope that helps.

You could be correct of course but if it is Bowyer why don't we embrace the situation and hope he can save our season and possibly the future of Bradford City.

 

People like @Bronco claimed it should be Bowyer because of his promotion from league 2.

Well if it's meant to be an appointment until the end of the season that doesn't matter as it's all about this year.

Bowyer is free to walk away at the end of the season and if we do go down then what?

Surely makes more sense getting a Nolan, Kewell etc in now then a Bowyer if we go down?

 

Burnt out?! By what??
Mentally maybe, coming to terms with the fact that most of them have significantly underachieved?? The only player who could even have the face to claim they are burnt out is O’Brien.

Surely the club will announce the appointment before he takes the likes of training, lets see if we hear anything today.

 

Why does it make sense to appoint two failed Notts County managers over someone who has actually bounced a mess of a club in Blackpool back first time?

 

Surely they practice. Levels this low surely don’t come naturally?

 

Fordy, you keep mentioning Kewell, what the hell has he ever done to warrant your endorsement, compared with Bowyer for example?
