STEVE EVANS: Yes or No??

Evans no.
The club are in a bad enough position without adding to it.

 

It's funny how some of the fans are campaigning for Evans as he would "be able to rescue us and give
the players the kick up the backside they need" but what about the players?

Who says the players would want to play for him? If he was appointed they may perform to a new
level of "don't care" which would cement our relegation and send the club into total disarray.

 

Yeah but even if they didn’t respond at least they’d leave us a jibbering wreck, hopefully leaving the profession altogether and avoid any poor souls at any other club have to witness the spineless, gutless excuses for footballers.

I think fatty Evans is a competent manager and his abrasiveness often brings results, However in our circumstances he is not what we need as he splits opinion to far, The next manager must be one the vast majority of fans can get behind, After all that has gone on we need to heal the wounds of the past and try to bring the club together to have any chance of getting our club back

 

I don't really see much other than a justification for switching clubs to rebuff the points made in that article.

Note Evans says Crawley had a top two budget.

Bower is still pretty new to management.

 

He has been doing it for a few years did a great job at Guiseley and now Avenue. But on a part time basts

 

None a professional club though. I'm not saying he won't make a good manager for a league team but it would be a pretty risky appointment. It's not just the playing side but you have to please the supporters side too. Look how quickly the fans turned against Collins. He was a defender though, might be able to give a bit of advice to our defence. Like: do your job!

 

Robbie Fowler is a great shout.

We need a player with network. Connections and that will earn automatic respect from everybody good or bad.

Has he been out of the game too long? His connections may no longer be relevant?

 

Nows not the time to experiment by bringing in someone new to management, just because he was a good player.

We dont necessarily have to go down the dinosaur route, but there are 2 youngish managers available with good experience, and decent records too. I believe we should be looking no further than Hurst or Bowyer, and get one of them in quick, instead of messing about with Drury
