Genuinely, can you take a screenshot of the moment you mean?

I think this is the common view but I think you're confusing the yellow on McLaughlins glove with the ball however it's actually in his other hand.

Because it's Christmas and visiting family....why would he go to Old Trafford on his own when members of family are going to Sunderland...not a difficult concept really.

That's a good shot. So if Jonny Mac's knee is on the line, his shorts are over the line, his bright yellow glove is over the line then the pale yellow ball must be over the line.....is that shot from a press photographer Keefly?

Is the whole of the ball over the line though? My first thought was it's a no brainer...but it's got to be the whole ball ain't it not just the bottom which is in contact with the grass. TBF of all the pics/vids I haven't yet seen one which proves the whole edge of the ball which is not in contact with the ground is over

I think I would have had more sympathy with the officials if it had happened fast. The ball was rolling towards the goal line, you think he might have been concentrating? Not to mention the ref? So between the two of them you would think they might have got it right? This was a goalie desperate to stop the ball, with the linesman having full view. No amount of photographs can inform me that ball did not go over the line, the real time version in my brain says it went over.

EFL on quest said it had gone in twice.

Then Colin Murray said don't need VAR in the league officials need specsavers.

    Says it all...

It did happen fast. That's why even when it's slowed down the ball is only over the line for a single frame or two.

You seem to be saying that it's easier to see what actually happened in the quicker version rather than in the slow motion or photographic evidence but that doesn't make any sense. Why would more detailed analysis of the incident give a less accurate outcome of the result?

God, are you still at it......?
Pray tell exactly how long does the ball need to be over the line to count....?
    10 secs, 5 minutes, an hour ....?

I said the same about the Bradford fans being quiet for their numbers. We sang throughout the game and that's probably why we couldn't hear you, vice versa. I heard 'City' being sung twice and the chants for 'off' when Flanagan could have been sent off in the second half. I don't believe you only made noise 3 times though as that would be ridiculous. A load of our players have said that was the best game they've ever played in due to the atmosphere and that will do for me.

Hi Tony, yes still here. Thanks for your concern.

Just a millisecond for it to be a goal which I've already said I think it is.

Sadly they are not going to give us the ‘goal’ now, award us some ‘hard done by’ point, or order a replay of the match.

It has gone and no matter how much retrospective ‘evidence’ is offered, then the result will remain the same!

    So onto Rochdale!

Unfortunatly we do have our share of Neanderthals who still think throwing smoke bombs is acceptable.
I have to agree with Hopkin the game was too big for those officials, three big calls and IMO bottle all three, penalty shout, obviously the no goal ball over the line, and Flanagan should have seen Red instead of yellow.
What was poor was the fact we didnt get away from the area for a good hour after the game the traffic was horrendous, but I cant blame the officals for that, good luck for the rest of the season, even though we lost yesterday I don't think well be in a relegation fight come the end of the season.
