    There has been some discussion recently of worst players that have ever played for City, so, what would be everyone’s worst possible starting eleven?

    Mine from the past 20 years is:

    GK Rouven Sattlemaier

    RB John Swift
    CB Andy O Brien
    CB Jason Gavin
    LB Alan Rogers

    RM Willy Topp
    CM Gareth Whalley
    CM Tom Penford
    LM Raffaele da Vita

    FW Kai Brunker
    FW Andy Cooke


    Wow, how shite is that line up.

    This team would struggle to score in a brothel.

    When ever I think of O Brien, own goals springs to mind.

    Whalley was very average, didn’t add much to the team

    How can Gareth Whalley and Andy O’Brien be in that team? They were part of the squad and team that got promoted into the Prem. Crazy! Also Junajo was better than Rafa De Vita? Gary Locke not considered?

    I’m solely basing my selections on players who were regular starters in them positions. I’m taking into consideration who was the worst during each team at that point in time, there’s different ways we could analyse it!

    Anybody who thinks Gareth Whalley is one of the worst City players ever, to use a phrase, doesn't know football. He, along with McCall, are about the classiest central midfielders for City in the last 20 years.

    I agree, Gareth Whalley and Stuart McCall were probably the worst midfield pairing i've seen in 40 years at Valley Parade...

    This might be the worst opening post ever.

    Whalley and O'Brien would probably walk into this team at their current ages!

    Hell, they could probably play as a strike partnership if they fancied it.
