Maybe I didn't express myself as well as I could. I mean about the really crucial things. Fall outs, reasoning for being dropped if it's a little controversial, etc, etc, the things that destroy loyalty of they turn from private to public. Not so much generic team talks and training sessions.

That loyalty and respect inside the team is more important than the curiosity of fans.

 

In sport in the US, the media has way more access behind the scenes and in the changing rooms. Sport is changing in this country and access to off the pitch stuff is becoming more transparent.

 

The running of the football club is one thing. The management of the players is private.

There will have been no end of happenings that go on within the squad over the years and to keep the dressing room togetger you have to keep it low key.

 

Yes well they have done a wonderful job of that, not!

 

I honestly haven't heard a sentence being finished with "......Not!" since about 1993!

 

Any way back on topic and the game, I'd say this is a penalty two Charlton take McGowan out.

I think a lot of it is down to the medias thirst for 24hr coverage . Look how much media coverage the Roy Keane/ Jon Walters/ Harry Arter spat got. Days and days of scrutiny after it was 'leaked' via Stephen Ward's whattsapp account. But don't the fans have a right to know this sort of stuff? Personally i'm not sure but the way the world is now less and less is left to the imagination.

 

That is because I don’t give a flying one for language trends!

 

I don't personally think it's about rights. Just thinks it's about the togetherness and trust within the dressing room being above pretty much everything else. Definitely is the way of the world in that everyone thinks they have the right to know everything just because they spend a fiver a week on something. I genuinely think it goes above that on this case though.

The thing that surprises me in all this is that a large number of fans seem surprised to hear some of the 'news' and 'rumours' that circulate from behind the scenes at Valley Parade. Most of it will have some substance to it although some will get a good dose of Chinese whispers. To those 'naive' people i've got news for you, this goes on at every sporting club, not just Bradford City. Its what happens every week at football clubs around the country.

sh*t, was buying beer at supermarket last night, lass serving me was one of my students. Wanted to know if if was planning on getting "lit'. Just said nowt and grinned. I suppose "turnt" is old now.

 

Not sure how you come to that conclusion, where have I said I like how he's running our club? He can go for me!
