just because people criticise mccall doesn’t mean they are happy with the current situation and just because people can have an objective view on his record doesn’t mean they can’t appreciate his efforts for the club. it just means that they are aware of and can accept that he has his limitations, his negatives and his own role to play in the current state of affairs. nobody should be given a free pass for last season or the start to this season and mccall had his own role to play in all of that. some people seem quite blind to that fact.

can i ask you if you went to bury, rotherham or oldham away last season? if you did, you’ll have spotted them a mile off.

The writing is on the wall pal!

Please make this post a 'sticky' - I want to reflect on it come May to remind myself of the naivety of some of our fans.

I think Sam was alluding to Normans supposed naivety from the quote "5 games in" onwards , if so, I agree with him. I was reading it and thinking wood and trees! What's happening "only 5 games in" has been coming to happen a long, long time.

Can you give us the actual quote where he said that he wanted Bradford City to be a feeder club?

Yeah he wasn't all that. I'd give him about a 7/10. You've totally lost me though. What has McCall got to do with my prediction that the club are in big big trouble?

well if everyone is laying blame with everything else you could say it’s a hangover from last season when the downward spiral started under mccall.

That’s it @brisbanebantams@brisbanebantams and @Norman Corner@Norman Corner lets talk about McCall so that supporters start to leap to his defense. Keep focused fans this is clear distraction from discussions about our current state of affairs.

so are you saying mccall is absolutely 100% blameless for what happened in the second half of last season but 100% the reason why we started well until december / january?

I think people are trying to say that’s when Edin started to mess up all the previous 6 years ish of hard work by others including McCall by not backing him in January and also not giving him hardly any time with the new recruits they did manage to bring in. I don’t think McCall was blameless but he certainly can’t be blamed for the shower of shi#e we are currently watching. All new players so whose fault is this mess?

McCall will always be a 'players' manager. Probably his biggest regret being Millwall in the p/o's. I don't think you can totally judge him on last season's fiasco, as there were forces conspiring against him. This season is continuing how last finished, albeit despite a clean sweep of personnel. I am intrigued to know the extent of our Owners influence and the resulting impact, if any, it has on our present situation. At present it seems impossible not to blame the people steering the Club and the path they have taken. The whole set up is crying out for the maturity, expertise and experience needed to successfully implement an agreed workable agenda. Not much joined up thinking appears to be going on.

You make some very good points and I have not read the responses on this Forum. It is easy to find fault and much less easy to offer solutions. So is there enough interest for the loyal supporters to buy the club? It would be interesting and very difficult to put a Board together as managing by committee is always a disaster.

Sounds silly and it is a massive ask but if 10,000 fans could each put in £1000 (some more or some less) we would have a £10M pot to start to buy the club, negotiate with the council, the ground owner could be an issue but it would be doable.

    Anyone up for a MBO?

Our club could really become our club.

Where does the money come from to take us forward after the buyout?
