We lack leaders on the pitch, so who is our centre back on the bench waiting to come on...?

    Reece.

    Staunton.

Hendrie? Get over it. McCall - debatable, which has been done to death. Doyle - I'm sure his Mrs will tell us all at some point.

Great to see that you only care about the treatment of players under certain conditions.

Let the club continue to be run like a circus because Hendrie was on loan :joy::joy::joy:

Yeah, you're right, Reece Staunton is far more experienced than NKP.

    Delusional.

I was just replying to the people mentioned.

I'm almost certain that loan players will be dropped like a stone if a deal isn't going to happen or a club/agent wants them to move to another club or go back their club. I'd guess this is the unfortunate situation with loanees. Just because he's a bradford lad, Hendrie's son makes it more of a sitauation to city fans, any other and I doubt the hysteria would be as bad.

Why do we need to bring in anyone else, when we have a young German "starlet" centreback waiting in the wings? :)

But yeah, stinks a bit. IF it is about the clause in his contract being activated on X amount of appearances, then that's not only tight, but pretty sneaky treatment of a player who has been a good servant to the club over the years.
I don't blame MC, he's not going to be the one paying the trigger fee, but I do feel a mixture of worry and sadness that he's having to toe the party line and make up bs about the situation.

Good luck Killa wherever you go. I expect the grass is much greener, new pitch or not!

Experience out and young numpty in no doubt. Looks like a case of stripping the squads characters who have a say in how things should be done on the pitch. Who's next? McGowan maybe or O'Connor after his piece in the local crap paper rag.

okay so... the fact we have screwed Hendrie over doesn't matter because I just need to "get over it" apparently it's debatable that Mccall was shafted, and it was all simply a mis understanding when Edin tried to get Sky to stop him coming to the ground as a pundit, and it doesn't matter about Doyle because his wife hasn't tweeted about it since. right o.

As a club, we shouldn't have stories coming out every two or three months about how a player has been mistreated.

If you don't want a player, that's fine, it's football, that's what the transfer market is for.

Players and staff should leave amicably and on great terms, always, without exception.

But we're being run by a Grade A idiot, so that's not the case.

I was under the impression that Billy Clarke was ‘sold’ but had set up home in the area (Menston?) and was looking forward to staying on.

Rory had apparently wanted to stay, but the offer made was short term and derisory compared to the Scunthorpe contract.

It's not really about the individuals - it's how we're treating people in general - whether we'd care as much if it wasn't John Hendrie's son is irrelevant - how we are treating people, and quite openly shafting them doesn't sit right with me. we aren't a club that does that to people.

    Spot on.

It's like we don't care how people feel at this club.

Scratch that: it's not "like" that, it's blatantly the case.

    those are also true.

we could even go as far back as Gordon Greer - take him on trial, have him believe we'll offer him a contract if he comes on a pre season tour, as a trialist, and then drop our interest when we come back. that's not right.

Ben Williams, agreed another year on same terms - goes to see Edin to sign it - ends up leaving.

The recent WOAP article with Matt Duke shows how much the mistreatment of players (especially at this level) goes on without fans knowing. If anything, the treatment of Duke was far worse than what Kilgallon et al have been through because it, according to Duke anyway, was contractual.

That's not to say that I agree with the treatment of Kilgallon. I find it odd when he and O'Connor would seemingly make a good combination. But if he really isn't going to get a look in here then I don't blame him for securing a move so quickly.

Looking at it from the club's perspective, if Kilgallon's wages frees up the space for a target man that helps bring some much needed goals to the side then would that not be using the resources more wisely than having a good 4th choice defender?

Personally, I think it is nothing to do with Michael or even a footballing matter. Last week, a former sponsor(note the word former) talked about a leaving do early in the year. He pointed out that Killa is the only attendee still at the club.

Do you honestly believe that a similar situation hasn't happened before? IE before Rahic the Terrible?

We had Mellor who could play centre back or full back. Staunton was included because of the home grown rule and Hudson was injured. That allowed us to have Colville and Gibson on the bench who made a big difference when they came on
