Think I'm thinking of the EFL trophy earlier this season. Can remember it was a mid week game and some were still available

EFL Trophy yes, all those games are available.

Last season they totally sold out well in advance. They used to give us 1,800 tickets but due to home demand they have cut it to 1,200. Bank holiday games tend to be well attended and all the kids are on school hols.

So I have now got the ticket office to change my permissions to "manage" for both me and my son

However, I thought I would do a test run, so chose the Tranmere game, added 2 tickets, reassigned one to the lad - then when you go to checkout it says his is not available

Any hints or tips as to why this has happened?

It’s hoped they sort it out before Grimsby tickets go on sale. Maybe that’s why they aren’t on sale.

Just trying to get through to anyone on the phone in the ticket office is impossible.

I just tried the same where I added 1 adult seat and one young adult seat and it worked fine assigning to my lad. However, when I tried to assign a junior seat to an adult in my friends and family it said unavailable.
Are you certain you added the correct ticket type to your basket before trying to assign it.

Yep and I see "city points" still haven't been migrated over to the account info...less than 2 weeks to Grimsby game, idiots strike again!

Yes I tried adult, 12-16, and 17-23 and none of them have worked. That shouldn't matter anyway should it? The old system let you buy for any age category under your membership, as I sometimes used to get a senior ticket so the father in law could take him in my absense

If you add a ticket to your basket you can only assign that to a member of your group who’s defined in that age category.
So basically if you don’t have a senior in your group you’ll never be able to buy a ticket for that category.
I just tried to add 2 juniors (12-16) from my account and went to checkout , it won’t let me because I’m an adult and haven’t assigned those tickets to anyone in my group who is of that age.

Cheers for that. What a bloody drag, they really are making hard work of this. What happened to the "if it ain't broken, don't fix it" ideology : unamused:

I haven’t done this for ages, but can’t you have a nephew or niece named as members, you could contact the Ticket Office. I have a daughter who now lives in the USA, but her membership number was live from when she had a season ticket. In theory l could buy her a ticket. To buy tickets, subject to release, all you need is a membership number, in the correct category. So sign the two juniors up.

To be fair, I rang last week about the e-mail they sent saying I was in a queue to buy tickets when I wasn't. Got through immediately and was told it was just to do with activating the ticket master account.

I don’t need to buy tickets for 2 juniors, I was explaining why someone cannot.
For the club to have taken this action on the new system there must have been some analytics run on the old system where they’ve seen too many people fraudulently buying junior tickets for adults.

No what has happened is, BCAFC under the clowns running the show have decided that now is a good time to install a new untested ticketing system just prior to season ticket sales. In addition nearly two weeks after it was setup they haven't allocated any City/Loyalty Points to anyone's account which seems to be the reason why an away game less than two week away is still not on sale, when the same away game tickets for Wrexham's visit to Grimsby were on sale a full month before the game.

If they have an issue with people buying a using junior tickets then that's on the people on the turnstiles who aren't checking on the people coming in.

Why the rush to install, just as STs are launched ? Silly me, it's extra income from Ticketmaster to the Save Ryan's Job fund (aka increase commercial income at the expense of football)

I would have thought it would be Ticketmaster who would be getting the benefit of the season ticket sales as they will get a cut of any fees charged. So were infact bending over backwards for someone else.

I feel for Mick Lamb in the ticket office who will be getting all the shit for this via e-mails, phone calls and in person down at the ticket office, whilst Sparks is upstairs playing Lego.
