    Heart thinking -

That was an "Eff you" team selection (including the Young sub), aimed at Sparks for what appears to be a complete miss sell to Alexander, and a sign Alexander is as pissed off as us

    Brain thinking

This is a result of our wonderful CEO's due diligence and board level decision making in a appointing a manager with a limited skill set, with the tools that don't apply to that same skill set, and a manager who was sacked 3 weeks earlier for the exact same issues occurring with us now. Warning bells should have rung by the sudden upturn in MK dons form before Alexander even got an interview with us

I'm disappointed with GAs approach thus far but I don't think sacking him just yet is the answer, I'm beginning or hoping to wonder if his current approach to our game is down to him realising the limited ability within our squad and just going pure basic to muddle his way through season at which point he can bring his own players in to mould the squad he wants. Although with each passing week odd tactical selections constantly have me baffled as it stands.

Alexander should never have been given the job in the first place. An absolute dinosaur of a manager who has been left behind by the modern game.

He is of course not the problem at this club but I have no faith in him as manager and have no interest in watching his 'style' of football. We cannot allow him the have the summer window because it'll be another wasted season next year.

Alexander is making some strange selections, we all knew todays starting team with a slow back line and lack of creativity was a car crash waiting to happen.

Our fans know a lot of these player are not up to it and have delivered turgid football week in week out.

    Shambles.

Well I am baffled by team selection as well. I am not sure sacking GA is the right route. The problem we have is that the squad is not fit for purpose. I think he was told no more money for new players and or we cannot afford to bring in the players we need, So even if we appointed another manager they would be faced with the same dilemma.

Let's be honest, these players at OUR club would get Guardiola sacked.

Very telling that MK Dons got rid of him for his turgid style of football, swapping him for a young up and coming manager in Mike Williamson. Dons being below us when they swapped (if i recall he was installed a couple of days after sacking Alexander), he now has them 6th, 3 points off the automatics. Now reverse that with Alexander who took over with us in 16th after the defeat to Sutton. His run so far has return 16 points from 13 games and now sees us 18th, playing football that has you wanting to bleach your eyes.
Which kinda shows the point if your club has direction and you choose the correct appointments you have a chance or reversing the bad form.
And if you add Alexanders spell at MK Dons, ironically his stats results wise are the same for both clubs, 16 points from 13 games. Add them together and his tally for this season at both clubs is 32 point from 26 games.
Theres a common denominator throughout us getting managerial appointments wrong but i just can't put my finger on it.......

The mane fault for me is the player, most need to go away and learn the basics of how to Play football , we’ve had a poor bunch for years, 3 or 4 good players don’t make a team

You’ll still get certain posters on here accusing MK Dons of having no plan when they installed GA.
Yes they massively messed up appointing him but realised after 6 months and had the guts to do something about it.

    Guts from a CEO/Owner
    Imagine that.

I bet their CEO/owner would have had the guts to tell his manager that he isn’t signing a has been 36 year old (on an 18month deal) who was past it 5 years ago and was only signing him as a favour because they’d been together nearly 20 years ago.

Turgid style that got him the manager of the month award at the start of the season! MK Dons fans said the results starting going down hill when he changed tactics at the club's request. Then they sacked him.

The more you compare what both clubs did and how they handled both the sacking and the recruitment of another manager, its actually a good analogy as to why and how we've gone wrong in the last 6 years. Remember Hughes and the CV in the junkbox? The mess that was Adams? And then the fiasco with actually appointing Alexander, weeks and weeks of nothing and we sign a manager sacked by a club weeks after we had started looking for one. Who, admits he'd never even spoken to the owner before signing? I mean, what sane business owner wouldn't want to know which new employee would be effectively managing his staff? No wonder the Cowleys turned us down.

I'd say a good look at the table suggests MK Dons were 100% right in their sacking of Alexander. Only have to look where we are and where they are, their fans purring at the football Williamson has them playing, our fans quoting phrases like hoofball and prehistoric.
So much for that manager of the month award eh?

But don't forget it was our most 'extensive' manager recruitment ever......he really does believe his own words our Ryan doesn't he? Couldn't make it up.....but who is marking his work closely? No one. Rupp isn't interested so just believes his CEO. There is no BOARD as such like there would be in a Private company so no formal appraisal....Deluded in that he thinks he can give some pre-scripted answers telling us how good things are whilst we slowly die as a club....

There is money, but we appear to be spending most of it paying the bulk of Wright's hefty wages. All the hallmarks of what happened in January 19 when we put all of our eggs in one basket and spaffed all the transfer window budget on keeping Payne when Huddersfield massively increased the cost of his loan. That worked out well because Payne went completely off the boil as soon as it was confirmed he was staying with us for the rest of the season.
Wright did well here for 4 months last season, but there is no guarantee he is going to replicate the same form this season, especially as he has hardly kicked a ball in anger since he left us last time. Look at Dion. A shadow of his former self when he returned and where is he now? Dagenham and Redbridge, that's where. Another player who had a few good months with us and hasn't done anything anywhere else. I hope I'm wrong about Wright, but I said when he signed it had Spark's PR move written all over it and I still believe that to be the case.

Really harsh. He hasn’t signed any of the players. He deserves the chance to build his own squad. I expect nearly everyone out of contract will be released in June !!

I know. However, even if we could find money ie a Rupp loan I don’t trust anybody at the club to spend it on a couple of players of quality for our midfield. We really are in a very bad way. Obviously GA cannot motivate the players. This is an emergency can anyone say after yesterday that we won’t get a repeat of that debacle?

We’d be subbing off a dejected Haaland who would be getting no service and replaced by Derbyshire.

Classic David Brent talk. I can just imagine the Cowleys asking what the owners plans were for the future of the club......
