TL Dallas would still leave us 400 short of the minimum required plus it will cost the caterers money with them not being able to sell alcohol which would reduce our contract value.

Isnt the minimum subject to suitable segregation ? given 90% of teams wouldnt even fill TL Dallas, it would be very easy to sell ST in all of MR and claim we can't segregate and open a bar in the TLD Stand.

The only reason we give a club more than required is to cash in. If needs be, leave the NWC empty (it might as well be anyway) and use that for overflow away fans. The mingling after and before the match might be the highlight of the game !

Their attendance last week against AFC Wimbledon was just under 12,500 which was a complete sell out so we are about 100 tickets short of the working capacity but they will likely get a dispensation as it probably isn't possible to expand the away capacity by 100 in a safe way.

I think they did mate at their old capacity. I know they've added the temporary stand behind the goal which adds about 2,500 but that didn't even meet demand from home fans.

It's 10% of working capacity or 2,000 if your capacity is 20,000+. There's no way the EFL would buy that we can't segregate the Midland Road as we've shown we can. We can't open a bar in the TL Dallas as there's nowhere in the stand that you can legally drink as there isn't anywhere that isn't in view of the pitch. To keep the away capacity to 16000 we would need to limit the ground capacity to 16,000 which I don't think anyone would want.

The long term solution I think would be to either split Midland Road in half with away fans getting blocks D-G and half of Block C as segregation then you can open TL Dallas to open fans or give away fans all of the TL Dallas plus Block G and use half of Block F as segregation. Whichever of these options we went with it would require work in the concourse with moving facilities and segregation which might not even be possible depending on the layout which I'm not really sure about as I've only been in the stand once and that was a few years ago.

I don't believe some of the stuff in this thread, if opposition clubs can bring 2000+ fans why wouldn't we accommodate them, and the club get stick for being small minded.

    Went in the cup.
Not the greatest away day but a good atmosphere in the ground been so close to the home support.
Get a feeling the league game might be more Bantams family than a Tuesday night cup match.
Gonna stick the old fire stick on for this one.
I hope there's just as much a rush for a cup quarter final we are participating in a few weeks prior.

It is very amusing isn't it. I mean, it isn't often we sell out but when we do, all the moaners come out

Out of interest, Wrexham is 86 miles from Bradford (give or take a few miles depending where you live). A quick look at our attendances we have had at away matches a similar distance away this season:

    *Crewe (80 miles) - 1294
    *Morecambe (85 miles) - 1600
    *Mansfield (64 miles) - 1671 on a Tues evening
    *Nott Co (79 miles) - 2276
*Tranmere (82 miles) - can't find a figure, from memory maybe 1000?? on a Tues evening
*At Wrexham there will be 1165 fans

So this tells anyone that we would likely sell out such a small allocation. Granted some fans won't have the necessary points, but i'm sure a lot will

Exactly. Swindon tickets are available as were Colchester last week but the part timers don’t want them and begrudge a points system for fans that do attend the long away days

Not too bothered about the lack of beer/lager personally. I've booked me and my good lady into the Mill Hotel and Spa, quite close to Chester train station for Thurs and Fri night, making use of our senior railcards. Short rail journey to Wrexham's ground from Chester.

I have no problem baiting people when it comes to away tickets and a priority scheme.
You were at Colchester last week as was I and without a points system in place we might not have got a Wrexham ticket.
I can’t wait for us to play Barrow in the playoffs and get 300 tickets. lol

The main one for me & the lad is Harrogate, as we've never managed to get there despite it being the closest! Issue I see is if for arguments sake we only get allocated 500 tickets, the club will have to put a lot of thought into the bandings

Ah, Harrogate. We play them when I come over in March. Looking forward to chalking that ground off my list. I’m sure my hard earned 0 loyalty points will get me a ticket. Next stop Ticketmaster.

Joking aside, you’ve put way too much in to following to miss out. Hopefully you both get tickets.
