They needed to realise their squad was league 2 level, they thought the likes of Moxon could step up yet when i saw him he looked sluggish, you can get away with it playing the likes of us but the speed of the game in the levels above catches average teams out. I admire their owners for having a go at trying to be proactive (something we could only dream of) but i suspect they are too far gone. We would have struggled exactly the same as our squad was average league 2.

 

Goodness only knows Park, sometimes clubs do things that leave you scratching your head as watching City for years i know only too well.

They made a massive mistake but rectified it very quickly.

That just sums us up he should have been on a contract till the end of lsst season which we could all understand but 18 months????? Thats over 100k that could have gone elsewhere and how many have we had like that ?????

I mean Oliver on 3 years ????? Now surly Hughes and Gent must have sat down and highlighted the players we needed ????,
Now they way we set up last season was gonna be wasted on Oliver so why bring him in ?????? If it was down to Hughes then surly the recruitment off or powers that be should have know it was wrong .If it was Gent who actually offered Oliver to Hughes then simply why ??????
So in a nutshell we have blown the best part of 500,000 on a player that wasnt right for us and that down to thevpowers that be

 

After appointing GA for six matches I ask again what was there plan there

Well, that's easy: they appointed GA, it was a mistake, they moved quickly to rectify that mistake, and have now moved forward.

I think I've explained that to @Park bantam before. MK Dons have a plan. If they make a bad move, that doesn't mean there was never a plan, which is where I think he gets a bit stuck.

Plans =/= never making any mistakes, plans = correcting course whenever you go astray, and the reason that's easier to do with a plan is because you know vaguely what you should be doing and what you shouldn't be doing.

Surly now he can see that he simply aint a football man and rather wasting mass wages on overhill shit just simply put that money to getting a director of football............ sure there a fair few out there who would jump at the chance a fair few have close connections to the club ............. but this bumbling along making mistakes is simply gonna continue to damage us

 

I've said before the awful recruiting of poor players on long contracts will hamstring us for a long time. This season is a write off and probably next one too. No one will take the likes of Oliver and Oduor off our hands so we'll be paying out for nothing of any use to us. It was obvious to many that 3 year contracts were ludicrous but our management knew better.

 

The 3 year contracts allows us to make money on certain players.

I've got more of a problem with signing players like Derbyshire. At best he should have been brought in on a six month deal, but more realistically shouldnt have been signed at all.

 

Not sure about Oliver, not done anything for us but if he is available, I could see him leaving based on his record before us. Not sure we’d get much but every little helps.

 

Absolutely should have been nowhere near our club.

Needed someone with some guts to challenge the signing of a 36 year old who’s recent stints had been in India,Cyprus and Australia.
