Halliday good going forward but to slow getting back and a quick forward leaves him floundering and a Liability defending. We need better. In that role

 

I'm a bit confused frankly. Is he saying that the changes at Derby was because of the underperformance of players against Crawley because his selections today suggest that but I haven't heard anything like that in his interviews.

 

Think we might get a paggering today.

Colchester showed fight in their first game under Cowley, who will have it all to prove today.

We're flip-flopping on our first XI and I think over-analyzing a 1-0 win in a friendly game-level cup tie against a side who didn't have a single shot on our goal.

And we've got a brand new keeper who hasn't been playing.

Hopefully the lads prove me bang wrong, but I think we might get hammered.

We've basically got nothing to play for this season unless we can win 70% of the remaining games.

If he was really brave, he'd have made the changes against Stockport and tried to win that game. Wouldn't have mattered if we'd lost. A point lost is nothing at this point in the season but another two points could have kept the momentum going.

Colchester are not heavy scorers then again neither are we but maybe today City can give it a good go and manage more than a couple of shots on target and sort out the defence.

 

So you never seen him skinned by a quick forward time after time. Watch how many crosses he fails to stop and the goals scored because he cannot get back and keep up. Crawleys first a perfect example but not the only one. But is great going forward but sells himself

It’s down to the system the weakness of playing wing backs. Loads of room for pacey players on both sides between left or right central defenders and the wing backs. Halliday gets up and down better than most
